  • Publication number: 20240024791
Abstract: In an aspect, a toy assembly is provided and includes a housing and an inner object inside the housing. The inner object includes a breakout mechanism that includes a hammer and an actuation lever. The hammer is movable between a retracted position in which the hammer is spaced from the housing and an advanced position in which the hammer is positioned to break the housing. The actuation lever is pivotable from a hammer retraction position towards a hammer driving position so as to drive the hammer towards the advanced position.

  • Publication number: 20220410025
Abstract: In an aspect, a transformable toy is provided and includes a first rotary member and a second rotary member, which are rotatable relative to one another between first and second rotary positions. A projection member is rotationally fixed to the first rotary member, and is movable between a retracted position and an extended position. A helical guide is connected and a helical guide follower are connected to the second rotary member and the projection member. Relative rotation between the first rotary member and the second rotary member between the first and second rotary positions drives relative rotation between the helical guide and the helical guide follower, which in turn drives the projection member to move between the retracted and extended positions.

  • Patent number: 11400386
Abstract: In an aspect, a toy assembly is provided and includes a housing and an inner object inside the housing. The inner object includes a breakout mechanism that is operable to break the housing to expose the inner object. A pushbutton that is provided on the inner object can be pressed by pressing a correct spot on the housing. The pushbutton controls operation of an LED in the inner object, wherein the LED, when illuminated, is visible through the housing.

  • Patent number: 11229853
Abstract: In an aspect, a toy assembly is provided and includes a toy assembly that includes a housing, a toy character inside the housing, and a breakout member that is operable to impact the housing so as to break the housing to expose the toy character. The housing includes a breakage zone for impact and breakage by the breakout member. In the breakage zone, the housing is formed from a polymer composition that includes a base polymer, an organic acid metal salt; and an inorganic filler.

  • Patent number: 10807011
Abstract: In an aspect, a toy assembly is provided and includes a housing and an inner object inside the housing. The inner object includes a breakout mechanism that is operable to break the housing to expose the inner object. The breakout mechanism drives a portion of the inner object outwards towards an extended position relative to a remainder of the inner object. The breakout mechanism urges the portion of the inner object towards the extended position through a biasing member, thereby limiting a force applied by the portion of the inner object based on the biasing member, so as to reduce a risk of a poking injury to a user of the toy assembly.

  • Patent number: 10238981
Abstract: In an aspect, a toy assembly is provided, and includes a housing, an inner object, at least one sensor and a controller. The inner object is positioned inside the housing and includes a breakout mechanism that is operable to break the housing to expose the inner object. The at least one sensor detects interaction with a user. The controller is configured to determine whether a selected condition has been met based on at least one interaction with the user, and to operate the breakout mechanism to break the housing to expose the inner object if the condition is met. Optionally, the condition is met based upon having a selected number of interactions with the user.
