  • Patent number: 10090716
Abstract: According to an embodiment of the present invention, a system comprises a removable interface module and wireless dock for an automated external defibrillator. The removable interface module includes a first processor, a first memory and first low-power radio transceiver communicatively coupled with the first processor and configured to receive status information from the automated external defibrillator. The removable interface module further includes a wireless power receiver and a rechargeable energy storage device electrically coupled with the wireless power receiver and configured to receive power wirelessly for the removable interface module. The wireless dock includes a second processor, a second memory and second low-power radio transceiver communicatively coupled with the second processor and configured to receive the status information from the removable interface module when the automated external defibrillator is powered off and transmit the status information through a networking interface.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20180200142
Abstract: A system and method for post-case analysis of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) performance trends is described. Such a system includes a processor configured to communicatively couple to a CPR metrics devices and to an output device and a memory including processor-executable instructions configured to cause the processor to receive, from the CPR metrics devices, treatment data including CPR performance data collected by the CPR metrics devices during medical treatment of one or more individuals, determine, from the CPR performance data, CPR performance metrics including a motion-based chest release parameter and at least one of chest compression depth and chest compression rate, and control the output device to concurrently display time trends of the CPR performance metrics, wherein the time trends indicate values of the CPR performance metrics over two or more equal time intervals during the medical treatment of the one or more individuals.

  • Patent number: 9844341
Abstract: A disposable patient interface includes a reusable sensor that removably mounts within a shoe of the disposable patient interface when at least one protrusion on opposite ends of the sensor removably lock with corresponding at least one aperture on opposite portions of the shoe. The patient interface includes a compliant structure which conforms to a patient's body upon placement thereon without causing wrinkles in the compliant structure so as to maximize adhesion of the compliant structure against skin on the patient's body when the compliant structure is conformed to muscle underlying skin on the patient's body.

  • Publication number: 20160279405
Abstract: A system and method for aiding in the proper placement of ECG electrodes and other resuscitation parameters. The system includes motion sensors disposed on the ECG electrodes, and a defibrillator control system operable to interpret motion signals from the motions sensors to determine that an electrode is in motion, and thus being handled by rescuer setting up the system for use, and, based on this determination, prompt the rescuer to place the electrode in its intended location on the body of the patient.
