  • Patent number: 9805195
Abstract: Systems and methods using Information-invariant Data Transformation (IIDT) in the transfer of files from an un-trusted to a trusted computer system are disclosed. The IIDT alters the data representation of information, without altering the meaning of the information to a degree that is perceptible to a human consumer of that information. The data transformation operations eliminate embedded malware thereby providing secure transfer of files between the un-trusted and trusted computer systems.

  • Patent number: 9560012
Abstract: A computer network is disclosed that includes a first domain and a second domain. The second domain has a higher security classification than the first domain. The computer network also comprises a Temporal Separation Cross Domain Gateway (TSEP-CDG) having a temporal separation hardware interlock. The interlock is configured to physically prevent communication between the first and second domains. It connects with the first domain in a first state to allow the TSEP-CDG to receive data from the first domain. The TSEP-CDG executes an information-invariant data transformation (IIDT) on the received data before it is available to the second domain. The IIDT alters the representation of the data while conveying the same information, disrupting anti-malware present in the received data. The temporal separation hardware interlock is configured for connection with the second domain in a second state to allow the TSEP-CDG to transmit the transformed data to the second domain.

  • Patent number: 7854969
Abstract: The present invention is an integral composite structural (ICS) material comprising an open metal structure having at least one external side and internal surfaces defining a plurality of open shapes with a ceramic matrix composite bonded to at least one external side and the surfaces of at least a substantial portion of the plurality of open shapes and occupying at least a substantial portion of the plurality of open shapes. The open metal structure, independent of the ceramic matrix composite, has a total metal volume percent in the range of about 10% to about 90%, with no dimension of any open shape being greater than about ¾ inch. The ceramic matrix layer covers a substantial portion of at least one external side of the open metal structure.

  • Publication number: 20080061967
Abstract: RFID tags, methods and systems for total asset management, in-transit visibility and bio-metric verification and authorization. The system comprises an active, multi-modal, bi-directional RFID tag having a primary communication mode RF transceiver and a secondary mode IR/US transceiver. The tag includes sensors, such as bio-metric, and memory containing user bio-metric data. A reader and illuminator(s), preferably IR and/or US, are communicatively coupled with the tag and adapted to provide command and control signals to the tag and receive data/information from it. The user's bio-metric data is read by the sensor, compared to the data base and verification communicated to an access or point of sale device. The tag looks for illuminators and reports to the reader the IDs of those it sees. The detection history permits tracking and locating tagged objects or persons, such as theme park guests. If no illuminator signal is seen, the tag sends a special signal.

  • Publication number: 20050206503
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to methods and systems for radio frequency identification. According to one embodiment, a radio frequency identification system comprises a radio frequency identification tag. The tag comprises a radio frequency transmitter and an optical receiver. A reader is communicatively coupled with the tag and is adapted to receive information from the radio frequency identification tag via the radio frequency transmitter of the radio frequency identification tag. The system also includes a trigger communicatively coupled with the tag. The trigger is adapted to send information to the radio frequency identification tag via the optical receiver of the radio frequency identification tag.
