Abstract: A wireless and wired control mechanism is provided for an aerial lift or crane wherein a control box is located within the work platform of the aerial lift. The control box is hard wired to a radio receiver in the control mechanism of the aerial lift or crane. The control box is also wireless connected to the control mechanism which permits a radio transmitter in the control box to transmit signals to the control mechanism when the hard wired connection between the control box and the control mechanism is disconnected. The control box is conveniently movable within the work platform and may be completely removed therefrom so that an operator may control the functions of the aerial lift or crane from the ground by way of the wireless connection.

Abstract: An aerial lift is provided which includes a stowable jib boom and a stowable work platform. The stowable jib boom may be stowed at one side of the main boom and the work platform may be stowed at the other side of the main boom. The jib boom is easily brought into position through the use of a mounting apparatus on the outer end of the innermost boom section of the boom assembly. The work platform may also be moved between its stowed and working positions through the use of the mounting apparatus on the outer end of the inner boom section.

Abstract: An apparatus is described for deicing an aircraft in one pass of the aircraft through the apparatus with the apparatus including a pair of spaced-apart deicing devices. Each of the deicing devices comprises a vertically disposed support tower having an upstanding boom pedestal rotatably mounted on the upper end thereof. An elongated, telescopic boom assembly is pivotally mounted on the pedestal for selective extension and retraction with respect thereto. An elongated support is pivotally mounted on the outer end of the boom assembly and has an operator's cab selectively movably mounted thereon. Spray nozzles are mounted on the operator's cab to enable the operator to spray deicing fluid onto the aircraft.

A concrete conduit is positioned in the interior of the boom assembly and has its intake end operatively connected to a concrete pump mounted on the truck by means of a flexible concrete hose. An extension boom is pivotally mounted on the boom assembly and may be pivoted from a folded, inoperative position to an extended position. A concrete conduit is provided in the interior of the extension boom and is placed into communication with the concrete conduit in the boom assembly when the extension boom is in its extended position. The crane may be either used to pump concrete or used in a conventional fashion. An aerial platform is provided on the boom assembly to enable an operator to pump or spray concrete.
