  • Publication number: 20120060409
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for producing bio-diesel from triglycerides and lower alcohols, desirably in the presence of liquid or supercritical CO2, are provided. The apparatus are designed to enhance the miscibility of the triglycerides with lower alcohols.
    Type: Application
    Filed: September 16, 2010
    Publication date: March 15, 2012

  • Publication number: 20090159355
Abstract: Fuels used may be derived from existing waste streams such as animal wastes and streams of discarded or unwanted animal byproducts generated at animal slaughterhouses. A method of processing organic waste products into fuel includes homogenizing the waste products. The waste products are heated and pressurized. Water is removed from the waste products. Selected constituent of the waste products are separated from the waste products into a waste stream. The waste stream is blended with a fuel to form a bio-fuel mixture.
    Type: Application
    Filed: November 14, 2008
    Publication date: June 25, 2009
Inventors: Nicholas J. Garwood, Anthony J. Garwood
  • Publication number: 20090000184
Abstract: The present invention relates to improved production methods and production equipment for fluid fuels including but not limited to ethanol, gasoline, hydrogen, naphtha (for olefin manufacture) and/or diesel but most particularly, “designed” synthetic diesel fuels for use in corresponding diesel engines. Apparatus and methods for producing the fluid fuels are described.
