  • Publication number: 20160121822
Abstract: A harness clip for clipping a wire to mounting supports of a vehicle includes a body and a tie-strap. The body includes a clip portion having a generally ā€œUā€-shaped channel for receiving the wire at an interior surface of body. The clip portion has two openings from the interior surface to an exterior surface opposite of the interior surface. The body also includes a mount-receiving portion extending from the clip portion. The mount-receiving portion includes two legs that are configured to engage the mounting supports. The tie-strap is engaged to the body and includes a cord that is inserted through the two openings in the clip portion of the body to generally encapsulate the wire with the clip portion. The tie-strap is configured to be tightened around at least a portion of the wire.

  • Patent number: 7347189
Abstract: The following describes an apparatus for and method of clamping a device, such as a fuel injector, to a platform, such as a cylinder head, and thereafter removing the device from the platform together with the clamp. A retaining sleeve is deformed such that the retaining sleeve is held in place between the clamp and a ledge on a fastener disposed within the clamp. The retaining sleeve secures the fastener to the clamp during removal of the fastener, thereby providing that the clamp assembly and the device, such as a fuel injector, are removed together.

  • Patent number: 7043915
Abstract: A turbocharger mounting system pivotally mounts a turbocharger on an internal combustion engine. The turbocharger mounting system has a turbocharger unit connected to a mounting mechanism. The turbocharger unit has a first flange and a second flange. The mounting mechanism has multiple clamping devices mounted on a support base. The clamping devices pivotally mount the first and second flanges on the support base. The turbocharger has a fixed connection with the first flange. The fixed connection limits the horizontal movement of the first flange. The turbocharger has a floating connection with the second flange. The floating connection permits the horizontal movement of the second flange.

  • Publication number: 20040211394
Abstract: An apparatus for and method of returning surplus fuel from a fuel injector (103) utilizes an internal channel (108) of the fuel injector (103) and a fuel return passage in a cylinder head (101) of an internal combustion engine (100). Each fuel injector (103) may be partially disposed in the fuel return passage (113), which may have openings (301) that are at least partially shaped to receive at least a part of the fuel injector (103). One or more ports (109) through which surplus fuel exits the fuel injector (103) are disposed adjacent to an optional groove (111) or adjacent to the openings (301) of the fuel return passage (113). External fuel return lines to each of the fuel injectors (103) are thus eliminated.
