Abstract: A method for implementing software-defined community clouds includes receiving, from a first requestor, a first access request requesting access to a first project of a plurality of projects. Each project includes project data governed by a compliance regime that enforces compliance requirements. The method includes, for each compliance requirement, determining that the first access request satisfies the compliance requirement. The method includes, based on determining that the first access request satisfies compliance requirements, granting the first requestor access to the first project. The method includes receiving, from a second requestor, a second access request requesting access to a second project and determining that the second access request fails to satisfy one of the one of the compliance requirements. The method also includes, based on determining that the second access request fails to satisfy one of the compliance requirements, denying the second requestor access to the second project.

Abstract: A vehicle includes one or more actuatable mudflap portions provided to the vehicle, capable of deployment and retraction to respectively increase and decrease deflection of wheel-spray and receives vehicle sensor information indicating driving conditions. The vehicle examines the sensor information to determine the presence of a first condition predefined as suitable for deployment of at least one of the mudflap portions. Further, the vehicle examines the sensor information to determine that no one or more of second conditions predefined as blocking deployment are met and, responsive to the presence of the first condition and the absence of the second conditions, automatically deploys the at least one mudflap portion.

Abstract: This disclosure describes compositions including fluorophore-conjugated sialic acids and fluorophore-conjugated fucose and methods of making and using those compositions. A fluorophore-conjugated sialic acid may include a cytidine monophosphate activated fluorophore-conjugated sialic acids (CMP-f-SA); a fluorophore-conjugated fucose may include a guanosine 5?-diphosphate activated fluorophore-conjugated fucose (GDP-f-Fuc). Methods of using the compositions include enzymatic incorporation of a fluorophore-conjugated sialic acid or a fluorophore-conjugated fucose or both to label and detect N- and O-glycans on glycoproteins. The compositions and methods may allow for the detection of specific glycans.

Abstract: In some embodiments, apparatuses are provided herein useful to sealing a gap, such as a gap between a gas turbine engine nozzle flap and sidewall. An apparatus for sealing such a gap may be a plunger seal that includes a plunger, a retaining element, a guide pin, and a biasing element. The plunger includes a sealing edge and an actuating edge having at least one recess and an opening formed therein. The biasing element and a portion of the guide pin are nested in the recess. The retaining element anchor the plunger to the retaining element. The retaining element also anchors the plunger seal to the housing When installed in a gap, the housing engages the flap and the plunger engages the sidewall. The biasing element is under compression and urges the guide pin into the actuating edge to urge the plunger toward the sidewall and seal the gap.

Abstract: Pre-plating systems and related methods are disclosed. A pre-plating system includes a press, an infeed robot configured to deliver a structural member to the press, and an outfeed robot configured to remove the structural member from the press. The press is configured to secure a plate to the structural member while the structural member is held in position by at least one of the infeed robot or the outfeed robot. A pre-plating system includes a press, a transfer pedestal, a plate picking robot, and a press loading robot. The plate picking robot is configured to pick a plate from a container and position the plate on the transfer pedestal. The press loading robot is configured to transfer the plate to the press. The press is configured to press the plate into a structural member positioned within the press.

Abstract: A downhole fluid sampling tool comprising one or more probes configured to take at least one fluid sample from the wellbore and perform a Saturates, Aromatics, Resins, Asphaltenes (SARA) analysis on the at least one fluid sample. Additionally, the downhole fluid sampling tool comprises an information handling system for developing a first remediation operation based at least in part on the first SARA analysis and performing the first remediation operation on the first fluid sample to form a first remediated fluid sample.

Abstract: In general, in one aspect, embodiments relate to a method, that includes lowering a downhole tool to a target depth of a wellbore, sampling reservoir fluid containing asphaltene at the target depth using the downhole tool, controlling a pressure of the sampled reservoir fluid while downhole to induce one or more phase transitions of the asphaltene, measuring the sampled reservoir fluid after inducing the one or more phase transitions, and identifying fluid composition of the reservoir fluid based on the measuring.

Abstract: A test tool attached to test string comprising a fluid conduit is deployed to a test position within a wellbore. The deployment includes hydraulically isolating a portion of the wellbore proximate the test tool to form an isolation zone containing the test position. A fluid inflow test is performed within the isolation zone and an initial formation property and a fluid property are determined based on the fluid inflow test. A fluid injection test is performed within the isolation zone including applying an injection fluid through the test string into the isolation zone, wherein the flow rate or pressure of the injection fluid application is determined based, at least in part, on the at least one of the formation property and fluid property.

The method may include: causing a point-of-sale terminal processing a transaction to display a machine-readable code, the machine-readable code encoding a web address; receiving a request from a device that scanned the machine-readable code, the request received at the web address and the request including data; determining, based on data encoded in the machine-readable code and data included in the request, that the transaction may be processed using a value-added service; and in response to determining that the transaction may be processed using the value-added service, enabling completion of the transaction using the value-added service.
