  • Patent number: 7327721
Abstract: Techniques for determination of endpoint Internet Protocol (IP) address assignment in an Internet telephony system are disclosed. In conjunction with the establishment of a voice path between an endpoint and a gatekeeper in the Internet telephony system, a virtual address assigned to the endpoint in a network address translation operation is determined. The virtual address is then communicated to the endpoint as part of or otherwise in conjunction with a registration process prior to establishment of the voice path such that the registration process can complete successfully despite the network address translation operation. Advantageously, the invention overcomes problems associated with voice path registration failures resulting from network address translation in a router, virtual private network (VPN) gateway or other similar network address translation device.

  • Patent number: 4502528
Abstract: The method and apparatus of the invention provide a rotatable casting wheel having an outer peripheral quench surface and an interior, annular coolant chamber. A wheel hub has a concentric axis of rotation, and two spaced-apart, annular, radially extending side members connected thereto and located concentric therewith delimit the side walls of the wheel and the coolant chamber. A cylindrical, axially extending wheel rim member is connected between the peripheral circumferential edges of the side members to provide the wheel quench surface and delimit the peripheral, circumferential wall of the coolant chamber. The rim has a frusta-conical inner surface that is sloped radially outward along the intended direction of coolant flow. A flow director located within the coolant chamber is comprised of at least one annular, radially extending support member and a cylindrical, axially extending flange member connected to the support member.

  • Patent number: 4489499
Abstract: An alignment apparatus for aligning a selected object with respect to a top-dead-center portion of a cylindrical roll includes a support base that is adapted to mount on a peripheral, circumferential surface of the roll and over the top-dead-center portion thereof. A level indicator mechanism mounted on the base indicates the orientation of the base. An outer frame is pivotably mounted on the base to pivot about an outer gimbal axis. An inner frame is pivotably mounted in the outer frame and adapted to rotate about an inner gimbal axis. The inner gimbal axis is oriented substantially perpendicular to the outer gimbal axis. A positioning plate moveably mounts within the inner frame and is adapted to move along a reference plane defined by the inner frame.

  • Patent number: 4291575
Abstract: Apparatus is provided for monitoring the level of a liquid in a reservoir, especially in the situation where the liquid is a high temperature, molten material. The device operates as a static-tube differential pressure sensor and includes an open-ended tube with one end adapted for direct immersion in the liquid and with the other end being in pneumatic communication with a conventional differential pressure transducer. The meniscus of the liquid entering the tube essentially acts as a diaphragm membrane and eliminates the need for an immersible diaphragm, as conventionally used with static-tubes. The device may actuate a controller for compensating any change in the liquid level from a reference.
