  • Patent number: 11352753
Abstract: A modular cover panel including two or more cover panels that cover a parapet or barrier along a roadway. Multiple cover segments may overlap one another to form the modular cover panel and each cover panel is individually hung or suspended by brackets affixed to the parapet. Each cover segment has one more surfaces intersecting with other to cover the parapet and a top surface that overhangs a top surface of the parapet. A cable may be disposed through a slot of a hanging bracket and a pin may secure the cable thereby providing a mechanical attachment to the assembly.

  • Patent number: 11273956
Abstract: A modular container has identically molded sides pieces connected together at corner joints and separately molded, identical top/bottom pieces. The corner joints are formed by snap fit engagement of flexible locking tabs of one side piece with pockets on another side piece when the molded side pieces are serially connected together. The flexible locking tabs are biased oppositely to one another in alternating manner and each tab engages with a shoulder in the corresponding pocket to enable a zipper effect with respect to the assembly and disassembly of the corner joints. Two top/bottom pieces are secured by relative rotation to the assembled side pieces to form the container. An extension ring or divider can be used between upper and lower sets of the assembled side pieces to enable different container sizes. The component parts are molded with a degree of flexibility that enhances the assembly/disassembly of the corner joints.

  • Patent number: 10053262
Abstract: A collapsible nestable container is provided. The collapsible nestable container may comprise a plurality of panels, each having one or more locking features that interlock with the locking features of the other panels to form an assembled container. The panels further comprise one or more nesting features, that interlock with the nesting features of the other panels to allow the panels to nest in a collapsed configuration with similar or dissimilar panels.

  • Patent number: 9428918
Abstract: A cover is provided in modular form for covering support structures, including columns supporting overpasses on roadways. The cover is formed of cover segments that are connected together laterally and vertically. The cover segments are provided with multiple techniques for vertical and horizontal connection, air channels, stand offs, worker viewing areas, and drainage spaces. The cover is made of a lightweight material and allows for tolerance for expansion of the support structure material.

  • Patent number: 9404230
Abstract: A shield is provided on top of a support column that protects liquid or debris from falling onto the support column from the structure above. Additionally, gaskets are provided around the center of the shield to contact components on top of the support column to further provide protection from liquid and debris. The shield is sloped and provides channels to guide liquid or debris and the outer most edge of the shield extends beyond the outer most surface of the support column in the radial direction whether the support column uses a cover or not. The shield may be in a rounded or quadrilateral form and is manufactured in segments to be connected upon installation using a clam shell type design. Mechanical connection schemes including a collar or fastener are provided to secure the shield segments in a connected state.

  • Publication number: 20040135279
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a plastic encapsulated plastic structural member includes the steps of forming a mold having first and second mold parts which form an enclosed mold defining a cavity therein having a configuration the same as the configuration of this structural member to be formed. A core of wooden material having holes on each of two opposed surfaces is formed and positioned in the cavity so that pins on the mold parts engage the holes. A foamable plastic material and nitrogen is injected under low pressure into the cavity to cause the plastic material to foam up and fill the space between the core and the cavity all around the core. The plastic material is then allowed to harden to form a plastic layer around the core. The mold parts are then removed. The holes may be closed with the plug of additional plastic material.
