Publication number: 20240150457Abstract: The present disclosure provides antibodies and antigen-binding fragments thereof that specifically bind to human PAR-2 and compositions comprising such antibodies or antigen-binding fragments thereof. In a particular aspect, the antibodies or antigen-binding fragments thereof that specifically bind to human PAR-2 block the interaction between a PAR-2 activating ligand and an extracellular domain of PAR-2, and/or blocks PAR-2 activation by a PAR-2 activating ligand, In further aspects, the antibodies or antigen-binding fragments can be used to treat diseases or conditions associated with increased expression of PAR-2 and/or diseases or conditions that can be alleviated by antagonizing activation of PAR-2 by a PAR-2 activating ligand (e.g., airway diseases, skin diseases, cancer, orofacial granulomatosis, inflammatory conditions, and pain associated with various diseases or conditions).Type: ApplicationFiled: June 21, 2023Publication date: May 9, 2024Inventors: Anna Mikaela BRACKEN, Adam CLARKE, Bridget A. Patent number: 9611439Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of fractionating bio-oil vapors which involves providing bio-oil vapors comprising bio-oil constituents. The bio-oil vapors are cooled in a first stage which comprises a condenser having passages for the bio-oil separated by a heat conducting wall from passages for a coolant. The coolant in the condenser of the first stage is maintained at a substantially constant temperature, set at a temperature in the range of 75 to 100° C., to condense a first liquid fraction of liquefied bio-oil constituents in the condenser of the first stage. The first liquid fraction of liquified bio-oil constituents from the condenser in the first stage is collected. Also disclosed are steps for subsequently recovering further liquid fractions of liquefied bio-oil constituents. Particular compositions of bio-oil condensation products are also described.Type: GrantFiled: May 29, 2013Date of Patent: April 4, 2017Assignee: Iowa State University Research Foundation, Inc.Inventors: Robert C. Patent number: 7864538Abstract: A slide apparatus that provides horizontal support to a disc drive blade is described. The slide apparatus essentially includes a slider beam, a guide rail, a chassis and a retaining member. The slider beam possesses a slotted feature that extends at least partially along the length of the slider beam. The guide rail, which is adapted to be attached to a frame, constrains the slider beam to move only along the length of the guide rail. A retaining member is anchored to the chassis and extends into said slotted feature. The chassis, which supports the disc drive blade, is confined by the retaining member to move essentially only along the slotted feature in the slider beam.Type: GrantFiled: February 15, 2008Date of Patent: January 4, 2011Assignee: Spectra Logic CorporationInventors: Edwin Jack Wadsworth, Christopher Anthony Pollard, Matthew Thomas Starr

Publication number: 20070240500Abstract: An automotive fuel injector leakage tester (10) comprising a mount (22) for such an injector (32) and a flowmeter (66) of sufficient sensitivity arranged to measure leaked fuel flow rates through the nozzle (34) of such an injector (32). The tester (10) is further provided with an interface passageway (58) which enables fluid communication between the injector nozzle (34) and the flowmeter (66) when the tester (10) is in use. An injector (32) contains a first liquid when under test to supply such liquid to the injector nozzle (34) so that such liquid can leak therethrough into the interface passageway (58). The interface passageway (58) contains a second liquid which is immiscible with the first liquid, the tester (10) being so constructed that the interface between the first and second liquids remains within the interface passageway (58) whilst the flowmeter (66) provides a measure of the leakage of the first liquid through the nozzle (34) of such an injector (32).Type: ApplicationFiled: October 28, 2004Publication date: October 18, 2007Inventors: Anthony Pollard, Andrew Murray

Patent number: 6094321Abstract: A jukebox for a plurality of recording medium assemblies (such as trays bearing discs) which includes a horizontal transport system wherein an engagement actuator (such as a solenoid) effects movement of an engagement piece. The engagement piece is moved between a position of being engaged with the recording medium assembly and a position of non-engagement with the recording medium assembly. The engagement actuator is linked to the engagement piece through a pivoting crank, so that the direction of motion of the engagement actuator is different than the direction of motion of the engagement piece.Type: GrantFiled: November 13, 1996Date of Patent: July 25, 2000Assignees: Sony Electronics Inc., Sony CorporationInventor: Christopher Anthony Pollard
