  • Patent number: 9631351
Abstract: A tube device including concentric inner and outer tubes to form an annulus to receive an upright stem in a toilet tank and adjustable relative to the stem. A keeper limits travel of a float to prevent opening of a control valve absent flushing of the toilet. In one aspect, the present invention includes an elongated catch device pivotally mounted intermediately to an inlet tube device and carrying at its upper extremity a keeper selectively disposed in the path of a float device to, unless a toilet has been flushed, block lowering of the float device and consequent opening of the control valve.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 4094327
Abstract: There is disclosed a liquid level control valve ideally suited for water closets and the like that employs a submersed liquid pressure responsive diaphragm as an actuator for the control valve. The control valve is supported in the tank on a liquid inlet vertical column, above the normal, controlled liquid level thereon. The control valve has a flexible valve closure member that subdivides the control valve housing into main and secondary chambers. A small orifice provides liquid communication through the diaphragm between the chambers and the secondary chamber is provided with a bleed orifice in the housing wall with a closure member therefor carried on an actuator arm which is mechanically coupled through a vent pipe to the diaphragm actuator.

  • Patent number: 3994313
Abstract: A diaphragm controlled toilet bowl valve of simple construction that is substantially silent in operation, will not permit water to be siphoned from the tank in which it is disposed during an emergency in which the pressure of water in the supply lines decreases substantially, and one in which the actuating float is easily adjusted without hindering or deforming the rod on which it is supported.
