Abstract: A method for authoring a Video CD in an information handling system includes creating chapter breaks as a function of video footage imported from a source. A static menu is created as a function of the chapter breaks. The video footage is transcoded. Lastly, the transcoded video footage and the static menu are burned onto a Video CD storage medium, wherein the static menu is configured to enable random access of the transcoded video footage according to the chapter breaks during a video playback.

Abstract: A mounting kit consisting of a top panel made from polyethylene plastic with designated areas cut out to accommodate a standard car stereo and four speakers along with optional support sides also made from polyethylene plastic to allow for installation within an ice chest (cooler) or other secure, durable container. An antenna, screws, power switch, charging receptacle and all mounting hardware are included.

Abstract: A method and system for selectively and variably attenuating audio data are disclosed. A high-volume control value as selected by a user is first received, and this high-volume control value defines a volume output level for high amplitude audio samples. An attenuation factor is then determined by utilizing the high-volume control value. Each sample from an incoming audio data stream is conditionally attenuated with the attenuation factor such that high amplitude audio data get compressed while low amplitude audio data remain unaffected. Finally, the attenuated samples are sent to an output.

Abstract: A method for providing audio sample rate conversion within a data-processing system is disclosed. An audio data stream having an input sample rate is first received. A sampling frequency ratio of the input sample rate to a selected output sample rate is determined, and this sampling frequency ratio is then utilized to compute output samples. The output samples are subsequently filtered with a lowpass filter and output at the selected output sample rate.

Abstract: A method and system for dynamically maintaining audio output balance in a stereo audio system are disclosed. The stereo audio system includes a small hand-held radio frequency remote control and a set of transmitter/receiver control units located at a close proximity to a respective speaker. For example, the stereo audio system may have six transmitter/receiver control units: one at a front-left speaker, one at a front-right speaker, one at a rear-left speaker, one at a rear-right speaker, a center speaker, and a sub-woofer. The stereo audio system is able to make audio balance adjustment for simulating a stereo headphone effect based on the physical position of the listener, throughout the entire listening area.

Abstract: A method for providing audio sample rate conversion within a data-processing system is disclosed. An audio data stream is first received. If the input sample rate of the audio data stream is not equal to a target sample rate, several frequency multiplications or frequency divisions are selectively performed until the target sample rate is reached. Then, the audio data stream is passed through a lowpass filter having a cutoff frequency that is less than half of the target sample rate. Finally, the audio data stream is output.

Abstract: A photographic booth includes an upright housing for photographic equipment abutting a circular chamber. The chamber has an opening on the opposite side thereof to the housing. A ramp adjacent the opening leads up to the floor of the chamber. A fold-down seat can be folded down to allow able-bodied users to be seated or folded up to provide accommodation for a wheelchair user. An arcuate door is provided to open and close the opening.
