  • Publication number: 20180177167
Abstract: A reconfigurable butterfly conservatory includes a raised garden base that defines an inner garden area. The raised garden base includes holes for receiving complementary upright poles. The conservatory further includes a canopy structure that includes connectors for receiving the complementary upright poles, wherein the canopy structure includes an air vent and one or more first windows that can be opened and closed. The air vent includes a mesh layer that promotes chrysalis formation. The conservatory further includes a plurality of side walls that are configured for coupling to at least the canopy roof structure for suspending the plurality of side walls such that bottom edges of the side walls are positioned adjacent to the raised garden base to define a hollow interior space that includes the inner garden area. At least one side wall is formed at least substantially of a mesh material.

  • Patent number: 8955251
Abstract: A raised border system is disclosed. The system includes one or more brackets that secures at least one beam in position using at least one anchor stake to create a variety of edging systems. The brackets include nubs that can be inserted into the brackets without the use of tools and are sized and shaped to securely engage a beam in a manner such that the force required to assemble the beams is relatively small and is well exceeded by the force required to disengage the beam from the bracket. While the nubs obviate the need for traditional fasteners or tools, the border system is still compatible with traditional fasteners affording the user a wide variety of options during construction. The system is also universally compatible with a variety of beam materials and sizes.

  • Publication number: 20110283611
Abstract: A netting or trellis support for use with hollow-top stakes comprises a pole having a lower end sized to be received in the hollow top of a respective stake and to extend in a vertical direction. First and second sleeves have respective first and second attachment members. The first sleeve is affixed proximate the top end of the pole. The second sleeve is mounted for rotation relative to the first attachment member. The attachment members are supported by the pole so as to have a generally coincident axis that is perpendicular to the vertical direction. The netting or trellis is supported at least between the first and second attachment members. In a more particular arrangement, cross members can be engaged to an attachment member of each of two adjacent poles. The netting or trellis support can be used in conjunction with a raised border system.
