  • Patent number: 8338069
Abstract: The present disclosure provides processes for producing toner particles, and toner particles produced by such processes. The processes of the present disclosure combine melt-mixing and grinding of toner components to produce toner particles, followed by a coalescing treatment which provides toner particles having desirable spherical properties.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 19, 2010
Date of Patent: December 25, 2012
    Assignee: Xerox Corporation
Inventors: Brian J. Andaya, Timothy L. Lincoln, D. Paul Casalmir, Joseph L. Leonardo, Anthony Uttaro, Jr.

  • Patent number: 7645551
Abstract: Disclosed herein are toner particles generated by emulsion/aggregation processes. The processes are conducted under conditions that shorten the time for coalescence and post-formation washing, thereby increasing efficiency of the processes as compared to conventional processes.

  • Patent number: 7563549
Abstract: Provided is an imaging member comprising a substrate, an undercoat layer (UCL), a charge generation layer, a charge transport layer, and an optional overcoat layer. The undercoat layer is formed from a single-phase UCL coating formulation comprising an organic titanate, a polymer containing active hydrogen, and an aminosilane. The UCL formulation has improved properties such as stability, processing convenience, and longer pot life etc. The UCL formulation can be used to manufacture an imaging member such as photoreceptor with improved properties such as stable, thick UCL coating, resistance to electrical failure, and PIDC independency on UCL thickness etc.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 20, 2005
Date of Patent: July 21, 2009
    Assignee: Xerox Corporation
Inventors: Jin Wu, Yuhua Tong, Jennifer Y. Hwang, Liang-bih Lin, Andronique Ioannidis, Nancy L. Belknap, Timothy J. O'Brien, Anthony Uttaro, Jr.
