Abstract: A portable apparatus for pulling a cable through a conduit includes a frame that has a base and caster wheels. The apparatus further includes a boom that has at least one roller configured to guide a rope connected to the cable along the boom. The boom also includes a main boom pivotally connected to the base and an upper boom pivotally connected to the main boom. A drive unit connects to the boom and includes a rotatable spool configured to pull the rope along the boom. The apparatus further includes a lift pivotally connected to the frame and the boom. The lift is operable to move the boom relative to the frame.

Abstract: A tie composed of a compostable material can include an elongated strip having a head end and tail end with a body between the head end and the tail end. The tail end can be received in the head end to form a loop with the tie. Some structural modifications may be made to the tie to improve the manufacture, flexibility, and compostability of the tie.

Abstract: A tester is disclosed for testing a wiring state of a live electrical receptacle outlet. The tester comprises a body having a display located thereon and a plug extending from the body. The display is configured to selectively provide a text indicator. When the plug of the tester is received in the electrical outlet, the display indicates the wiring state of the electrical outlet.

Abstract: A cable terminal installer tool comprises a data comm jack terminal crimper having a pair of handles at one end and a crimper head at another end for installing data comm jack terminals on the ends of cables. The crimper head is operated by the handles to crimp the terminals onto wire ends of a cable. The tool further comprises a line tester including a transmitter and a receiver for testing an assembled data comm cable having jack terminals at opposite ends. At least one of the transmitter and receiver is detachable from the handles.

Abstract: A brush handle is disclosed having a core member which is surrounded by a layer of compressible and resilient gripping material of a non-slip nature, the layer of gripping material closely conforming to the contour of the brush handle and being mechanically interlocked to the handle by at least one projection which is integral with the core member and extend into the layer of gripping material, and also at least partially bonded one to the other by heat and or chemical processes. A brush having the above described handle sealingly secured to a brush head utilizing the layer of gripping material and a method of manufacturing a brush handle are also disclosed.
