  • Patent number: 8984314
Abstract: A mechanism is provided for efficiently recycling a charge from a power domain that is discharging. A side of a discharging power domain normally coupled to a voltage supply is disconnected from the voltage supply. The side of the precharging power domain normally coupled to the voltage supply is currently disconnected from the voltage supply. The side of the discharging power domain normally coupled to the voltage supply is connected to a side of the precharging power domain normally coupled to the voltage supply. A side of the discharging power domain normally coupled to the ground is disconnected from ground. The side of the discharging power domain normally coupled to ground is connected to the voltage supply, thereby precharging the precharging power domain with the charge from the discharging power domain that would normally be lost due to leakage.

  • Publication number: 20120007507
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for detecting the visibility outside of a motor vehicle by means of at least two light sensors, in the case of which the intensity of the light reflection of the driving light emitted in the direction of travel is detected by means of a first light sensor, which is oriented in the direction of travel. The first light sensor thereby transmits at least a first evaluation signal to a control unit for further processing at least as a function of the recorded intensity of the light reflection. The ambient light is detected by means of a second light sensor and a second evaluation signal is transmitted to the control unit as a function of the intensity of the ambient light. The control unit correlates the evaluation signals of both light sensors and the light intensity threshold value is determined on the basis thereof.

  • Patent number: 7844799
Abstract: A method and system for operating a high frequency out-of-order processor with increased pipeline length. A new scheme is disclosed to reduce the pipeline by the detection and exploitation of so called “no dependency” for an instruction. A “no dependency” signal tells that all required source data is available for the instruction at least one cycle before the source data valid bit(s) are inserted into the issue queue. Therefore, one or more stages of the pipeline are bypassed.
