  • Publication number: 20110198377
Abstract: The invention relates to a backpack (1) comprising a bag (2), a frame (3a, 3b, 5) secured to the rear face (7) of the bag so as to form a dorsal plane (9) having a pair of straps (11a, 11b) slidably mounted thereon, and a belt assembly (13) having a bottom portion (15) arranged to be held around the waist. Link means (17, 19) are arranged between the belt assembly (13) and the pair of straps (11a, 11b), together forming a dorsal holder element (21) arranged to enable the belt assembly to be slidably mounted relative to the dorsal plane. Suspension support means (23) are arranged between the bottom portion (15) of the belt assembly and the bottom portion (25) of the dorsal plane in order to retain the bag by keeping the dorsal plane pressed against the back and by damping movements of the bag relative to the dorsal holder element.

  • Patent number: 7770766
Abstract: A rucksack comprising a bag having a back panel and, among other things, a belt assembly and a rigid frame secured to the back panel and the belt assembly. According to the invention, the bottom portion of the rigid frame has a V-shaped configuration with an angle ? at the apex, and in its middle and rear portion, the belt assembly includes an upwardly open pocket having a V-shaped configuration with an angle ? at the apex, where ? is greater than ?, such that said pocket is suitable for serving as a housing for receiving the V-shaped bottom portion of the frame while allowing the belt assembly to pivot angularly to some extent relative to the remainder of the rucksack.

  • Publication number: 20090159629
Abstract: A rucksack including a bag and a shoulder straps/belt assembly laid out in the back of the bag. The bag is laid out in order to switch from a standard wearing position into a front position. The shoulder straps/belt assembly has two straps each having an upper portion, attached to the top of the back of the bag, an intermediate portion, and a lower portion. The ends common to the intermediate portions and to the lower portions are attached to the bottom of the back of the bag, the distal ends of the lower portions are provided with a fastening system. A sliding system is laid out on the bag in order to slidably mount one of the common ends between the intermediate portion and the lower portion of one of the straps. The strap has a fastening system laid out the common end between the upper portion and the intermediate portion.

  • Publication number: 20070080183
Abstract: A backpack that includes at least one module which is movable between a first storage position in which its contents are difficult for the user to reach with the bag on his back and a second access position in which the said contents are easy for the user to reach with the bag on his back. The module is fitted to slide between the first and second positions, on at least one rail extending laterally from a rear area of the bag to the front of the bag, and possibly as far as the strap assembly. For each module, it preferably includes a rail support panel, the rear edge of which is fixed laterally to the bag proper and the front edge of which extends to the front of the bag.

  • Patent number: 6637631
Abstract: A knapsack has a bag, a strap assembly for attaching the bag to the shoulders of a user, a belt assembly for attaching the bag around the waist of a user and a fastening system for fastening the strap assembly and/or the belt assembly to the back of the bag. The fastening system has a first piece secured to the strap assembly and/or the belt assembly and a second piece secured to the back of the back. The first and second pieces co-operate with each other to enable the first and second pieces to be fastened together and pivot mutually about an axis perpendicular to the back of the bag. The fastening system has at least one elastomer element secured to one of the pieces and the other piece has a portion that causes the elastomer element to be deformed during pivoting, thereby opposing the pivotal movement.
