  • Patent number: 11124009
Abstract: A security inlay having optically recognizable characters for an identity document comprises a first transparent layer and a second transparent layer. The first and second transparent layers are connected to one another. A first portion of the optically recognizable characters is formed by blackened sections in at least one of the layers. A second portion of the optically recognizable characters is formed by the color coating. The first and second portions are arranged and configured to reflect visible light. Infrared light is reflected by the first portion of the optical characters. During irradiation with visible light, the security inlay thus shows first graphical information formed jointly by the first portion of the optically recognizable characters and the second portion of the optically recognizable characters. Under irradiation with infrared light, the security inlay shows second graphical information formed by the first portion of the optical characters.

  • Patent number: 5686929
Abstract: A RF antenna system mounted on, for example, a dielectric carrier plate is accommodated as a homing head in the front under a radome in a missile provided for locating radar systems or the like, in addition to other, further sensors potentially present in free spaces. The RF antenna system is composed of a three's or four's group of logarithmic-periodic crossed dipole antennas whose long axes proceed with optimized dimension obliquely relative to one another and that are interconnected with a monopulse feed network for taking aggregate and difference diagrams in azimuth and elevation. The antenna system for long-range missiles enables a monopulse position fixing in azimuthal or, respectively, elevational direction in an extremely broad frequency range.

  • Patent number: 4918458
Abstract: A secondary radar transponder on a mobile target has an antenna arrangement which can receive interrogation signals from all directions and radiate reply signals. The antenna arrangement includes several individual antennas, each of which, with its primary lobe, covers a specific sector of the entire 360.degree. range and is connected to a receiver, so that through receiving level comparison, that particular sector from which the interrogation signal incides can be ascertained. The reply signal is then radiated only by the individual antenna covering that particular sector. The transponder is particularly suited for identification friend-foe (IFF) purposes.

  • Patent number: 4848235
Abstract: A rotating submunition member which, subsequent to ejection from a carrier, incorporates a target detection device projecting outwardly beyond the wall contour of the member in an operating position; and a fuze arrangement for a detonator which is disposed interiorly of the wall of the submunition. The submunition member is equipped with a securing or safe-and-arm device in which the detonator is located on a movable mounting or holder, which is displaceable through the intermediary of a spring-elastic power element from the SAFE position of the detonator into its ARMED position, when a flyweight has tensioned the power element and the target detection device is displaced into its operative position projecting beyond the wall contour of the submunition member.

  • Patent number: 4754286
Abstract: In order to achieve an improved monopulse difference pattern, a transition zone is created between the antiphase-excited halves of a phase-controlled antenna composed of a plurality of individual radiators, being created therein along a line of symmetry which separates the halves of the antenna and which comprises individual radiator strips, for example vertical columns or horizontal rows, extending next to one another and parallel to the line of symmetry, in which transition zone, extending from each edge up to the line of symmetry and the center of the transition zone, the number of individual radiators respectively excited antiphase increases in the same manner in comparison to the number of all individual radiators lying in a strip from 0% at each edge up to 50% at the line of symmetry.

  • Patent number: 4727810
Abstract: A safe and arm device including a sensor-controlled switch arrangement in an electrical series-circuit, which is arranged ahead of a secondary-explosive detonator, especially for a submunition-projectile. The safe and arm device possesses a first switch which is actuatable at the presence of a surrounding air onflow against the submunition carrier in dependence upon a submunition ejecting command; and wherein a second switch is actuatable by the first switch when the submunition-projectile has released itself from its carrier and has implemented a transition into a gliding flight phase searching for a target.

  • Patent number: 4529990
Abstract: This invention relates to an antenna system for a jamming transmitter which is intended to protect a remote object which is remote from the jamming transmitter as well as itself or an object in the immediate vicinity of the jamming transmitter. Known jammer antennas for this purpose radiate either a pencil beam which presents considerable problems in the alignment and orientation and tracking in two planes or alternatively such known antennas are designed as omni directional antenna which however have low antenna gain and are easily detected. In the present invention the difficulties of the prior art are eliminated in that a separate antenna is provided for external or foreign protection and a separate antenna for self protection which antennas produced in the first plane a sharply focused pattern and in a plane perpendicular thereto a radiation pattern (7, 8) which is optimized for external or foreign protection or self protection, respectively.

  • Patent number: 4479128
Abstract: A re-polarization means for generating circular polarized electro-magnetic waves using single or multi-layer lattice structure mounted in front of a radiation aperture with the lattice structure comprising a plurality of conductors which extend parallel to each other and/or meander shaped and wherein the lattice structure has one or more additional layers which are closer to the radiation aperture and which has a plurality of parallel conductors but that are inclined by an angle of 45.degree. relative to the direction of the conductors mounted on the other layers which meander. Additionally, orthogonal polarization suppression is achieved with the apparatus of the invention. The invention can be applied to a radom of a target tracking radar antenna, for example.

  • Patent number: 4477815
Abstract: Means for re-polarizing and generating circularly polarized waves using a single or multi-layer lattice structure which is placed in front of a radiation aperture with the lattice structure consisting of a plurality of conductors extending in the form of lines which meander and might be rectangular combinations or the like. With a lattice, a polarization conversion into circular polarization and the suppression of orthogonal polarization components is simultaneously achieved by providing that the meandering lines 4 extend in a direction such that the meander lines have an angle of 45.degree. at every location with respect to the respective E vectors of the linearly polarized E-vector fields at such locations. The re-polarization means can be used as a Radome of a target tracking radar antenna.
