  • Publication number: 20220047146
Abstract: A household dishwasher includes a washing container holding a dishwasher load, and a container holding an operating material and arranged outside the washing container and accessible via an opening in an interior of the washing container when a door of the household dishwasher is open. A spray arm applies washing liquor to the dishwasher load and is actively driven by a drive entity. A detection entity is operably connected to a drive element of the drive entity for detecting an angular position of the drive element. A control device determines an angular position of the spray arm as a function of the detected angular position of the drive element and, as a function of the determined angular position of the spray arm, activates the drive entity to stop the spray arm within a predefined angular range that is outside an angular range defined by an access region of the opening.

  • Patent number: 10898052
Abstract: A household dishwasher includes a first spray arm having a first spraying circle, a second spray arm having a second spraying circle which overlaps with the first spraying circle, and a synchronization facility configured to adapt a rotational speed of the first spray arm to a rotational speed of the second spray arm, or vice versa. The synchronization facility includes a first magnetic field allocated to the first spray arm and a second magnetic field allocated to the second spray arm, with the first magnetic field and the second magnetic field having a same polarization, so that the first magnetic field and the second magnetic field repel one another during operation of the household dishwasher to thereby prevent contact between the first spray arm and the second spray arm during a rotational movement of the first spray arm and the second spray arm.

  • Publication number: 20200337516
Abstract: In a method for operating a household dishwasher with a control apparatus for carrying out a washing program from a plurality of washing programs for washing washware arranged in a washing chamber, an optical sensor signal of the washing chamber is captured by an optical sensor of an external facility that is external to the household dishwasher. At least one intensive washing zone for intensively washing the washware in the washing chamber is determined in response to the captured optical sensor signal, and a drive facility is actuated to drive a spraying facility for spraying the washware with washing liquid, such that the determined at least one intensive washing zone is embodied by the spraying facility.

  • Patent number: 10568488
Abstract: A spray arm for a dishwasher includes an outlet nozzle which is provided on a bottom side of the spray arm for emptying washing liquor from the spray arm. The outlet nozzle is selectively closed and opened by a valve which is movable from an open position into a closed position in response to a pressure of the washing liquor. The valve is pretensioned in a direction to seek the open position so that the valve automatically opens when the pressure of the washing liquor drops below a predetermined value.

  • Patent number: 9055850
Abstract: A dishwasher includes a control device controlling a dishwashing cycle for cleaning items to be washed, a dishwashing chamber for the items to be washed, an inlet valve for controlled filling the washing chamber with washing liquid, and a circulating pump for circulating the washing liquid in the dishwashing chamber. The inlet valve is opened during a primary filling phase having a duration sufficient to fill the dishwashing chamber with a nominal amount of washing liquid and allowing the circulating pump running to run concentrically at a rated speed. A concentricity monitoring unit performs a concentricity check at the end of the primary filling phase to ascertain whether the circulating pump is running concentrically at the rated speed. The filling sequence is terminated when the circulating pump is running concentrically, whereas the filling sequence is continued when the circulating pump is not running concentrically.
