  • Patent number: 9048768
Abstract: A stationary energy generation plant includes a control device that serves to control current and energy flow. The energy generation plant includes at least one mechanically driven rotor and a generator mechanically coupled to the rotor. To this end, power electronics operationally connected to the generator enable variable energy flow from the rotor through the generator and the power electronics to a load. In order to compensate for vibrational loads on the generator side, at least one current control is made possible by means of a first intermediate circuit storage of the power electronics. In order to compensate for mechanical vibrational loads and transients of a drivetrain, an energy flow control is provided by means of at least one additional second intermediate circuit storage disposed in the power electronics and having a multiple of the storage capacity of the first intermediate circuit storage.

  • Publication number: 20120073922
Abstract: A brake system for a motor vehicle and a related method includes a hydraulic service brake system, having a brake booster and is operable via a brake operating element, an electric machine, operable as a generator to brake the motor vehicle, and an electromechanical braking device. A setpoint braking torque is determined as a function of a brake pedal travel. The hydraulic service brake system has an idle travel between the brake operating element and a master brake cylinder, in which no braking torque is generated by the vehicle brake system. In the range of the idle travel, the setpoint braking torque is generated by the generator and/or the electromechanical braking device, and a portion of the electromechanical braking device in the setpoint braking torque is modulated as a function of a portion of the generator in the setpoint braking torque so that variations of the generator portion are compensated.

Abstract: A bearing is provided including a first part provided with a first coil (4) and a second part rotatable with respect to the first part about a bearing axis and being provided with a second coil which is electromagnetically coupled to the first coil. The first and second coil are magnetically enclosed by a first covering and a second covering, respectively. The first covering is fixed to the first part and the second covering is fixed to the second part. An air gap is formed between facing ends of the first and second coverings, with at least one of the facing ends of the first and second coverings being provided with at least one recession, such that the air gap varies when the first part and second part rotate with respect to each other. This may be used to provide an indication of speed (bearing rotation) without further sensors.

  • Patent number: 6657329
Abstract: In a unipolar transverse flux machine, to achieve a modular construction, which is favorable from a production standpoint, the stator (11) and the rotor (12) have an equal number of identical stator modules (14) and rotor modules (15); the rotor modules (15) are firmly seated, in alignment with one another, on the rotor shaft (13), and the stator modules (14) are rotated by a rotational angle from one another in the housing (10). When there are two stator modules (14), the rotational angle is 90° electrically, and when there are m stator modules (14), the rotational angle is 360°/m electrically, where m is an integer and is greater than 2. Each stator module (14) has an annular coil (23), disposed coaxially to the rotor axis (19), and U-shaped stator yokes (24) that fit over the annular coil, along with short-circuit elements (25) disposed between the stator yokes.

  • Patent number: 6516600
Abstract: For cleaning of a spinning rotor independently of the support of the spinning rotor, a rotary drive (4) is selectively movable into and out of contact with an outer rotor surface via entraining elements (7) for imparting rotary movement to the spinning rotor (1). The entraining elements (7) are arranged such that radial forces produced by the contact are mutually cancelled. The entraining elements (7) are advantageously attached directly to the electric rotor (9) of the rotary drive (4).
