Abstract: A closure includes an annular base to be fixed to an upper rim of a container. The base includes a peripheral skirt having an end portion to be arranged over the upper rim of the container. A peripheral locking rim is integrally formed on the end portion of the peripheral skirt. The locking rim has a proximal end hingedly connected to the peripheral skirt and allowing the peripheral locking rim to be folded inwardly towards an inner surface of the end portion, such that, when the locking rim is in the folded state, a distal end thereof can move beyond and engage under a peripheral ledge of the container to lock the base to the container. The end portion of the skirt has on the inner surface an engagement surface portion and a widening surface portion towards an end of the peripheral skirt.

The lid includes a top side that in a mounted state extends over an opening of the container and a skirt extending from the top side. The skirt has on an inner side thereof resilient members adapted to cooperate with an outwardly projecting ridge on an outer side of the circumferential wall of the container so as to secure the lid to the container. The resilient members are formed as resilient elongate strips having two ends attached to the inner side of the skirt and formed as an arch which, in an unloaded state, has a rise with respect to the inner side of the skirt.

A breakup wedge is provided in the feed channel such that it splits the feed channel into two sub channels, each connected via a side inlet opening with an inlet portion of the spray channel. Thus, in use, a flow of content is split into two sub flows by the breakup wedge, which sub flows subsequently collide in the inlet portion of the spray channel causing a turbulent flow of the liquid product in the inlet portion of the spray channel, which turbulent flow is guided by the spray channel towards and out of the dispensing opening.
