  • Patent number: 5580917
Abstract: Hydrostatically damping, shock and vibration energy absorbing, non-vulcanisable silicone elastomer is composed of a methylphenylsilicone polymer in which as on the matrix a condensation of polydimethyl- or/and methylhydrosiloxane diols are condensed with reactive compounds of silicon, boron or nitrogen giving the viscous polymer appropriate elasticity coefficient by forming mobile hydrogen bonds. The elastomer according to the invention contains also fillers and lubricants.

  • Patent number: 5571257
Abstract: The invention improves performance characteristic of coupler arrangements; and embodies a cushioning device (8) which comprises an elastomeric shock absorber (9) whose bottom part (10) is held in a rear stop block (12) supported on a rear stop (7, 7'). The opposite section of the elastomeric shock absorber is slidably mounted in the casing (13) which includes a guide (14) closed by a fixedly attached front stop block (15), with the stop block abutting the front stop (6, 6'). Inside the casing the stop block abuts the piston rod (16) of the elastomeric shock absorber.

  • Patent number: 5495923
Abstract: An elastomeric shock absorber having enhanced damping characteristics comprises a casing filled with a compressible elastomer; a piston rod immersed in the elastomer; a piston head mounted on the piston rod and the piston head is provided with connecting ports communicating with the front and back spaces of the piston and is also equipped with a mobile member. The mobile member is located between a surface from which the connecting ports emerge as well as a ring or like stop block. The stop block is mounted on a section of the piston head facing a flow chamber, wherein the piston head moves into and out of an outer cylindrical surface of the casing and wherein at least one groove is provided on an inner surface of the casing, which together with the outer cylindrical surface of the piston head form a flow chamber shaped as a solid of revolution, the solid of revolution being selected from the group comprising a cone, a ring, a torus and any combination thereof.
