  • Publication number: 20230139357
Abstract: A blocking mechanism including a transmission casing and a movable pawl having a locking finger. The movable pawl is pivotably mounted in a plane about a pivot axis on the transmission casing between a locking position in which the locking finger is engaged in the locking recess and a release position in which the locking finger is disengaged from the locking recess. The movable pawl includes a cam surface. A linear actuator moves a movable carriage guided by a guide rail, in which the movable carriage includes a cam follower capable of moving on the cam surface, and a housing formed in the transmission casing, in which the guide rail is fitted in the housing.

  • Publication number: 20170051712
Abstract: A fuel injector an internal combustion engine includes a filter for filtering fuel flowing into the control valve, the filter includes multiple filter orifices, provided on a sleeve surrounding the control valve, or on a filter element integral to the sleeve, or a filter element or plate located between an entry to the INO (inlet orifice) from a main fuel supply passage and the control valve, thereby filtering fuel contaminant particles from the flow of fuel entering the control valve, thereby reducing or eliminating control valve seat wear and subsequent leakage.

  • Patent number: 8794939
Abstract: A pump head suitable for use in a fuel pump for a common rail fuel injection system, comprises a pump head housing defining a plunger bore and a pumping chamber. Fuel is pressurized within the pumping chamber by a plunger reciprocating within the plunger bore. The pump head housing includes an inlet valve arrangement for controlling fuel flow into the pumping chamber. The inlet valve arrangement includes a valve member movable between open and closed positions in response to fuel pressure within a gallery. The gallery communicates with an external chamber defined by a closure member externally mounted to the pump head housing. In use, the gallery communicates with a source of low-pressure fuel via the external chamber. The pump head housing has a projection which locates the closure member on the pump head housing.

  • Patent number: 8763636
Abstract: A valve assembly for use in a fuel pump comprises a body member with a valve aperture, a valve member movable within the body member and adapted to close the valve aperture, and a biasing arrangement having a first part fixed with respect to one of the body member and the valve member and a second part fixed with respect to the other of the body member and the valve member. The biasing arrangement is adapted to bias the valve member to close the valve aperture. The biasing arrangement comprises a helical spring with a first diameter at the first part and a second diameter at the second part. The first diameter of the helical spring is different from the second diameter of the spring. The helical spring is at its first part retained by an interference fit against the member with respect to which it is fixed.

  • Patent number: 7607458
Abstract: A housing for use in high-pressure fluid applications, comprising a first passage defining a first axis (P1) and a second passage defining a second axis (P2), wherein the first and second passages intersect at an opening defined by an intersection at one end of the second passage. When sectioned on a plane normal to the second axis (P2) and not intersecting the first passage, the intersection defines an ellipse (E) in the plane and centred on the second axis (P2), the ellipse having a major axis equal in length to the width (D2) of the intersection and a minor axis equal in length to the height (D1) of the intersection. A wall of the intersection describes a curve in the plane, the curve passing through the points where the major and minor axes of the ellipse (E) meet the perimeter of the ellipse (E), and through points which lie outside the ellipse (E) and which are offset from the ellipse (E) by an offset distance (K).
