  • Publication number: 20230365306
Abstract: A dispensing system may include a fluid container and a container receptacle. The fluid container may include a stacked arrangement of cross-slit valves through which a rigid projecting member of the container receptacle may be inserted through. Upon insertion of the rigid projecting member therethrough, fluid from the fluid container may flow into a tank of a 3D printing system through a dispensing channel of the rigid projecting member. The stacked arrangement of cross-slit valves acts a partial seal around the rigid projecting member, preventing fluid from leaking out of the fluid container from the outer surface of the rigid projecting member, while at the same time allowing ambient air to flow into the fluid container so as to backfill the partial vacuum created by the dispensing of the fluid from the fluid container.

  • Patent number: 11557019
Abstract: A method for efficient image registration between two images in the presence of inlier-poor domains includes receiving a set of candidate correspondences between the two images. An approximate homography between the two images is generated based upon a first correspondence in the correspondences. The set of candidate correspondences is filtered to identify inlier correspondences based upon the approximate homography. A candidate homography is computed based upon the inlier correspondences. The candidate homography can be selected as a final homography between the two images based upon a support of the candidate homography against the set of candidate correspondences. An image registration is performed between the two images based upon the candidate homography being selected as the final homography.

  • Publication number: 20060199889
Abstract: Clay compositions useful for modification of organic and aqueous fluids may be prepared from clays, silicon compounds, onium compounds or combinations thereof. An aqueous clay slurry may be acidified to form an acidic clay slurry. At least one silicon compound may be contacted with the aqueous clay slurry to form a silanated clay composition. In certain embodiments, a silanated clay composition may be contacted with an onium ion to form a silanated organoclay composition. In some embodiments, the silanated clay compositions may be incorporated into monomer and/or polymer systems to make composites with improved performance.

  • Patent number: 6974467
Abstract: A method of surgically accessing and making an incision in a selected part of a body includes inserting a needle into part of the body and withdrawing fluid from the body through the needle to determine if the needle is located in the selected part of the body. Once properly located, a blade is moved along the length of the needle, making an adjacent incision. A depth of the blade relative to the end of the needle is indicated to the user. A surgical apparatus includes a hollow needle, having a needle point and a needle wall that defines a needle tube. A blade having a cutting edge and a blade base adjacent to the cutting edge is located adjacent to the needle wall. A platform slidably engages the needle for sliding along the length of the needle and holding the blade base adjacent to the needle.
