  • Patent number: 4680912
Abstract: A structure is proposed for metal constructions, in particular of the trestlework type, with at least an angle iron having equal legs, each one of which being extended at its free and with a first and a second extension length having a width substantially equal to half width of a leg, the first extension length being positioned at right angle relatively to the first extension length, the second extension length being positioned at right angle relatively to the first extension length, in such a direction as to depart from the other leg of the angle iron. The structure is moreover provided with jointing elements each constituted by a plate suitable to be fastened on to the angle iron at least in correspondence of the inner surface of one of its legs, and in correspondence of the inner surface of the second extension length of its second leg.

  • Patent number: 4524555
Abstract: A novel outline for section irons to be used in truss girders and like constructions is disclosed, which essentially consists of a box-like open structure composed by a longer angle iron (11, 11a) from the free end of which there are extended, at right angles outwards, L-shaped extensions (12, 13, 12a, 13a) having sides equal to one half of those of the angle iron. Bending stresses can be minimized and the entire structure is more conveniently assembled and has a reduced weight.

  • Patent number: 4358915
Abstract: The invention relates to a self-assembling telescopable structure comprising a plurality of members which can be slipped and unslipped into and from each other. For the assemblage and disassembling of the structure releasable fastening members are provided for the several component parts and reversible lifting means acting between the internal component part and its next intermediary component part.By outstretching such means it is possible to effect the unslipping of the internal component part from its next. By subsequently fastening the internal component to the external one or to an intermediate component and binding mutually the other intermediate components, it becomes possible, by contraction of said lifting means to have the mutually bound intermediate components into the unslipped internal component part. By repeating these steps, the structure is assembled, whereas, by reverting the step sequence the disassembling of the structure is obtained.
