  • Publication number: 20150066985
Abstract: Various embodiments of systems and methods for retrieving information from social media sites based upon an event in an enterprise are described herein. In one aspect, the method includes receiving an event trigger indicating an occurrence of an event. The event trigger is received when an event condition comprising one or more business parameters and their corresponding value is met. Based upon the received event trigger, the one or more parameters and their corresponding value are retrieved. A watchpoint for the event is generated based upon the retrieved parameters and their values. The information on the watchpoint is retrieved from one or more social media sites. The retrieved information is displayed on one or more computing devices. In one embodiment, the retrieved information is arranged in a predefined format and then displayed on the one or more computing devices.

  • Publication number: 20150046881
Abstract: An identification of a business object may be received. Nodes of the business object may be displayed. In response to a selection of a node from the nodes, an archiving status of the node may be set. The selected node may be linked to a parent node. The selected node may be archived based on the archiving status. The nodes may be displayed in response to receiving an indication that the business object is to be partially archived. In an embodiment, the current respective archiving statuses of the nodes are displayed. In an embodiment, an identification of an archival object may be received. The archival status of the node may be saved in the identified archival object.

  • Patent number: 8943086
Abstract: The disclosure generally describes computer-implemented methods, software, and systems for allowing model-based backend services adaptations of business objects. One computer-implemented method includes receiving, at a generic interface associated with at least one backend application, a request for data from a particular backend application, identifying a service for execution associated with the received request based at least in part on the received request, identifying a configuration entry associated with the identified service in a configuration table, where the configuration entry defines a set of access-related information associated with at least one business object associated with the backend application, and requesting data from a business logic layer of the backend application based, at least in part, on the access-related information associated with the at least one business object.

  • Publication number: 20090024424
Abstract: An embodiment of the invention provides a system and a method for dynamically linking of a business process that allows switching between the business processes based on business needs at pre-defined places of the business process. A business process is a set of tasks or activities that are to be performed to complete a transaction. These switching between the business processes are dependent on the context in which the business processes are used. This context can be defined and modified based upon the changing needs of the business. The invention allows the same business process to be utilized in different contexts without the need for redevelopment. In one embodiment, to implement the dynamic linking of the business process, a business process service layer is provided that process developers can leverage to add points of variability in their processes. The business process service layer talks to a server platform which in turn can execute business logic using the business process database.
