    Abstract: A computer-implemented method for recommending an optimum insulin bolus dosage to a patient is described. The computer-implemented method includes receiving diabetes related data from the patient. The computer implemented method further includes determining a plurality of insulin bolus dosages using a plurality of insulin bolus calculators. The plurality of insulin bolus dosages are calculated based on the diabetes related data. Thereafter, an optimum insulin bolus dosage is determined based on the plurality of insulin bolus dosages. The optimum insulin bolus dosage is then presented to the patient.

The method and system involves collecting a plurality of blood glucose (BG) data of a subject and calculating a Blood Glucose Control Index (BGCI) value and a Severe Hypoglycemia Risk Index (SHRI) value based on parameters calculated using the plurality of BG data. The BGCI and SHRI values reflects a current state of diabetes of the subject. Further, the BGCI and SHRI values provides an indication if the subject may face a secondary complication associated with diabetes, such as, severe hypoglycemia in the future.

In a personal computer, application software may be loaded from a CDROM that may also provide reference software. Both application software and reference software may be installed during the same installation onto the PC from the CDROM. Update packages may also be generated based on the reference software and the number of update packages to be generated. Disclosed herein is a method and system where multiple update transitions may be reduced to a single update transition.

    Abstract: A method for interconnecting local area networks or network segments by means of a bridge. In the method, a local area network frame is received at the bridge and forwarded across the bridge if its destination address refers to a network or network segment on the other side of the bridge. In order that a bridge simple in structure can be utilized in cases where priority is to be assigned to terminal traffic over datafile transfer traffic, the length of the frame to be forwarded is determined for classification into a respective one of at least two categories, by length, and the obtained length classifications are utilized in the transmission of the frames for assigning priority to at least some of the shorter frames over the longer frames.
