Publication number: 20230300019Abstract: Techniques for a network controller to manage its data path dynamically in a data network. The techniques include causing the network controller to enter a first state, wherein the first state is associated with first processing rules for processing usage data. The network controller receives first usage data from one or more network devices associated with the data network, processes the first usage data according to the first processing rules. Further, the network controller may detect an event associated with transitioning the network controller to a second state, which cause the network controller to transition from the first state into a second state, wherein the second state is associated with second processing rules for processing the usage data. Moreover, the network controller receives second usage data from the one or more network devices, and processes the second usage data according to the second processing rules.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 15, 2022Publication date: September 21, 2023Inventors: Rajesh Indira Viswambharan, Apoorva Sharma, Mamatha Jayanna, Ankur Gupta, Ankita Singh

Patent number: 11750242Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and systems for a surface wave based wireless connection to an electronic device are disclosed. One apparatus includes a surface wave guide that supports propagation of electro-magnetic waves over a two-dimensional conductive surface of the surface waveguide, wherein the two-dimensional conductive surface is treated to increase a surface reactance of the two-dimensional conductive surface over a frequency range of the electro-magnetic waves, while maintaining an insertion loss of the surface waveguide below a threshold. A first mode converter operates to couple electro-magnetic waves of a first mode to the two-dimensional conductive surface having a second mode, wherein the electro-magnetic waves of the second mode propagate across the two-dimensional conductive surface of the surface waveguide. At least a portion of the electro-magnetic waves of the two-dimensional conductive surface is coupled to an electronic device through a second mode converter of the electronic device.Type: GrantFiled: May 23, 2022Date of Patent: September 5, 2023Assignee: Meta Platforms, Inc.Inventors: Karthik Yogeeswaran, Apoorva Sharma

Patent number: 11550888Abstract: In some examples, a computing device may display a user interface (UI) to configure a multiple print unlock. The UI may determine a first plurality of prints placed on a touchscreen. Individual prints of the first plurality of prints may include a thumb print or a fingerprint. After the computing device has been inactive for a predetermined amount of time, the UI may lock the computing device. The UI may determine a second plurality of prints placed on a touchscreen and perform a comparison of the second plurality of prints to the first plurality of prints. If the UI determines that the second plurality of prints matches the first plurality of prints, then the UI may unlock the computing device. If the UI determines that the second plurality of prints does not match the first plurality of prints, then the computing device may remain locked.Type: GrantFiled: November 13, 2019Date of Patent: January 10, 2023Assignee: EMC IP Holding Company LLCInventors: Sathish Kumar Bikumala, Lakshmi Saroja Nalam, Apoorva Sharma

Patent number: 9846937Abstract: Digital images, such as radiological images, are evaluated using correlative properties of information contained in a pixel and adjacent pixels. Each pixel is evaluated according to its own properties and adjacent pixels. Each pixel is identified as either satisfying a predefined criteria or not satisfying the criteria based on how many of the pixel and adjacent pixels satisfy a correlative property. A binary array is formed with the pixels satisfying the predefined criteria being nonzero and the other pixels being zero. The image being evaluated is divided into predefined blocks of pixels, and the number of nonzero pixels in each of the blocks is divided by the predefined number of pixels in the blocks to produce a ratio for each block. Image intensity is set for each of the blocks according to the ratio. Correlative information from corresponding pixels across different images of the same object can also be evaluated.Type: GrantFiled: March 4, 2016Date of Patent: December 19, 2017Inventors: Aseem Sharma, Apoorva Sharma
