They are prepared by reacting a copper(II) acylate with an organic compound selected from 4-[bis(2-chloroethyl)amino]-D,L-phenyl-alanine (sarcolysine), the hydrochloride thereof, N-(2-furanidil)-5-fluorouracil (tegafur) and aminocarbonylaziridine (leacadin) at acidic to neutral pH in a chloroform/methanol mixture.
