  • Patent number: 6550338
Abstract: A pressure sensing device adapted to measure pressure of a fluid includes a body member made of an inert material that does not react chemically with the fluid. A thin wall diaphragm section integral with the body member carries on its exterior surface a sensor that provides a signal proportionate to the pressure of the fluid within body member. The sensor device has an exterior surface with a bridge resistor circuit mounted thereon. The cross-sectional configurations of the sensor device and the thin wall diaphragm section are complimentary so their mating surfaces fit snugly together. A liner member made of an inert material that does not react chemically with the fluid fits within the body member adjacent the first thin wall diaphragm section and includes a second thin wall diaphragm section integral with the liner member.

  • Publication number: 20030000310
Abstract: A pressure regulating device with the wetted surfaces and a sensing element operated by a reference control pressure made for control and regulation of highly corrosive fluids. It includes a body member having an inlet and an outlet passageway separated from one another by the engagement of a tongue and groove seal joint of a sensing element and a controlling element assembled on to the body. Applying a reference control pressure to the top side of the sensing element disengages the seal joint which allows fluid at high pressure to flow into the outlet passageway and under the sensing element opposite to the reference control pressure side. Once force produced by pressure under sensing element equals to the force produced by reference control pressure on top of the sensing element, the seal joint closes to prevent further flow.

  • Patent number: 6250329
Abstract: A pressure relief valve opens at a predetermined pressure of fluid flowing into the valve. It includes a body member having a passageway with an inlet and an outlet and a barrier member between the inlet and outlet that prevents fluid from flowing between the inlet and outlet. There is a port along the passageway between the inlet and the outlet, and a moveable sealing element having a closed position where said sealing element is seated in the port and an open position where the sealing element is withdrawn from the port. The port is in fluid communication with the outlet when the sealing element is moved to the open position. A disc spring engages the sealing element. This disc spring has a first position holding the sealing element in the port when the pressure of the fluid is below the predetermined pressure and a second position withdrawing the sealing element from the port when the pressure of the fluid exceeds the predetermined pressure.

  • Patent number: 6220293
Abstract: A novel irrigation valve having a single central inlet and a plurality of radially located outlets each covered by a sliding disk valve. Each disk valve is manually operable. and in automatic mode is operated by the interference action of an innovative indexing mechanism which uses the hydraulic pressure of the inlet for its operation. a single three-way solenoid valve is energized to actuate a piston within the indexing mechanism while a pin-teeth engagement of a cylinder-indexer assembly converts the linear motion of a piston rod into a rotary motion of an indexing arm. A battery operated timer controls the time intervals between each incremental rotation of an indexing arm in sequence until it is returned to its home position. The housing of the valve is compact and of low profile, thereby simplifying its manufacturing, assembling, installation and maintenance and reducing cost.

  • Patent number: 5524020
Abstract: A high temperature vacuum heat treating furnace has a hot zone, including heating elements and thermal insulation, which is movable between a heating location at least partly surrounding a load space and a cooling location remote from the load space. A cooling gas plenum around the hot zone in the heating location can eject cooling gas toward a load in the load space after the hot zone is retracted. Cooling rates approximately comparable to a furnace operable at four bar pressure can thereby be obtained in a furnace rated for no more than two bar internal pressure.
