  • Patent number: 6141417
Abstract: A holder for a mobile telephone is disclosed. The holder has a securing mechanism that securely holds a mobile telephone within the holder and allows easy movement of the mobile telephone from and into a secure position within the holder. In an embodiment of the invention, the holder includes a cradle unit that has a securing mechanism including a securing pin flexibly formed on the top end of the cradle unit and a securing pocket formed on the bottom end of the cradle unit. A mobile telephone may be secured in the cradle by placing the bottom portion of the mobile telephone in the securing pocket and moving the mobile telephone into the cradle unit, allowing the securing pin to snap into a securing notch that is formed on the top portion of the mobile telephone. The cradle unit may be formed of a single piece body. The cradle unit may also be formed to encompass the mobile telephone to provide a better tactual grip than is provided by the body of the mobile telephone alone.

  • Patent number: 5341149
Abstract: An antenna rod, comprises an antenna lead passing inside the rod and a layer of polymer material outside the antenna lead. The antenna rod has improved characteristic features because the antenna lead has been immersed into the polymer material layer. The antenna rod is produced by inserting the antenna lead longitudinally in a cavity of a casting mold, which is substantially of the shape of the antenna rod and thereafter encapsulating the antenna lead with a polymer material layer. The antenna lead can be reinforced for casting by joining it with a support structure by winding the lead to form a helical coil around the support structure.

  • Patent number: 5271056
Abstract: A frame construction for a radio telephone or the operating device of a radio telephone. The radio telephone comprises a frame on which printed circuit boards containing telephone electronics are secured on both sides of a substantially flat, electrically conductive frame plate. The frame plate together with ground foils of the printed circuit boards form EMI-shielding for the components located on the sides of the printed circuit boards which face the frame plate. The frame plate preferably has a raised edge to which a printed circuit board is secured. Radio telephone housing parts are located on the two sides of the frame plate to form the radio telephone housing.

  • Patent number: 5229701
Abstract: The invention relates to a battery charger for battery operated equipment such as a mobile telephone. The charger has a recess into which the equipment to be charged is placed for charging, and the recess has charging contacts through which current passes from the charger to the equipment to be charged. The first two opposite sides of the recess have guide fins, while the equipment to be charged has corresponding grooves. Different equipment models having different thicknesses, but a common width dimension, can be charged in the same battery charger.

  • Patent number: 5200997
Abstract: An auxiliary frame to be detachably fastened inside a hand-held telephone for mounting at least some of the components of the hand telephone, has a lower edge with separate indentations for receiving power supply contacts and for securing them between the auxiliary frame and the attachment base of the hand-held telephone, e.g., a circuit board. Another indentation is provided at the lower edge for receiving the signal conductor of the external antenna of the telephone and for securing the signal conductor between the auxiliary frame and the attachment base. The upper surface of the auxiliary frame is designated for supporting the internal disc antenna of the telephone, which antenna is secured to the upper surface in abutting relationship therewith.

  • Patent number: 5168982
Abstract: The invention relates to a switch device which is suitable for use, for example, in a telephone to detect the presence of the handset (11) in the cradle (9). The switch device comprises a frame (3), a switch (4) movable in relation to the frame, and a separate plunger (2) acting on the switch, the plunger comprising a press knob (5) and a spring part (6). The plunger operates by bringing the switch (4) into the connecting position and by releasing it, after the pressure has ceased, to return to the initial position. It is essential in the invention that the spring part (6) of the plunger comprises a part which is against the switch (4) and is wider than the switch, is of a resilient material and hollow. This part (6) may be made up, for example, of a transverse sleeve or ring as an extension of the press knob (5).

  • Patent number: 5138329
Abstract: The invention relates to an antenna switch for radio telephones, which are provided with an extendible external antenna (1) and a built-in internal antenna (2). The antenna switch comprises a microswitch (4) having a switch arm (6) and a press switch (5). The antenna switch accomplishes the switching-on of the microswitch (4), whereupon the signal route is connected with the internal antenna (2). Respectively, when the external antenna (1) is moved in the reverse direction, the signal route is connected with the external antenna (1). The switch arm (6) is in direct contact with the external antenna (1) so that the contact accomplishes the switching-on of the microswitch (4), when the external antenna (1) is in a partly pushed-in position. The switch arm (6) is situated in close vicinity to the lowest part (15) of the external antenna (1) when the external antenna (1) is in its extended extreme position.

  • Patent number: 5127844
Abstract: The invention relates to a connection block for a plug-in adapter, suitable for being mounted on a mobile telephone or its cradle. The block is further connected to, e.g., a cigarette lighter outlet of a vehicle that can supply current to the connection block. The block is further provided with latch claws (2) capable of locking the connector block to the mobile telephone or its cradle. The latch claws (2) are integral with the housing of the connection block and resilient in such a manner that allows the latch claws to be movable between an open position and a closed position by applying pressure with the fingers on actuation areas (3) on the latch claws.
