  • Publication number: 20110265501
Abstract: A system of energy recovery from low temperature sources of heat, comprising components of Organic Renkine Cycle (ORC) including a turbine from which an ORC vapor is withdrawn, a condenser in which the ORC vapor withdrawn from the turbine condenses into an ORC condensate, a pump which circulates the ORC working medium, a heat exchanger which is supplied with a heat carrier from a lower temperature heat source and in which the ORC working liquid, and an ARC Condenser in which the ORC working liquid is heated or evaporates to produce ORC working vapor which is supplied to the turbine; components of an absorption refrigeration cycle (ARC) including an absorption refrigeration machine which receives heat and vaporizes a liquid refrigerant of the ARC to produce an ARC refrigerant vapor which is supplied to the ARC condenser to heat the ORC working liquid; and an additional component increasing a temperature difference between the ORC condensate and the heat carrier from the low temperature heat source.

  • Patent number: 6125923
Abstract: In a heat exchange device and method one heat exchange is performed between a fluid which flows through a heat exchange element and a fluid which flows in an internal shell surrounding the heat exchange element, and another heat exchange is performed between the fluid flowing in the internal shell and a fluid flowing in an external tank which surrounds the internal shell, with the first heat exchange performed through the wall of the heat exchange element and a second heat exchange performed through the wall of said internal shell.

  • Patent number: 6115542
Abstract: In a device for and method of storing and discharging a viscous liquid at least one mixing chamber is formed in a storage chamber and communicates with said storage chamber for introducing the viscous liquid from said storage chamber in the mixing chamber; for withdrawing one portion of the viscous liquid only from the mixing chamber, heating the withdrawn one portion of the viscous liquid and reducing its viscosity and returning a part of the one portion of the withdrawn heated viscous liquid with reduced viscosity into the mixing chamber so as to mix it with the viscous liquid introduced from said storage chamber into the mixing chamber and to reduce viscosity of the viscous liquid in the mixing chamber; a second circuit is used for withdrawing another portion of the viscous liquid only from mixing chamber, heating the withdrawn other portion of the viscous liquid and reducing its viscosity, and returning a part of the withdrawn heated other portion of viscous liquid with reduced viscosity to the mixing cha

  • Patent number: 6101984
Abstract: A fluid heater, comprising a tank having an inner chamber for accommodating a fluid to be heated, a heat exchanger having a tube bundle and a shell surrounding the tube bundle, the shell being introduced in the tank so that a wall of the shell is in contact with the fluid in the interior of the tank, the shell having an inlet for introducing a heating fluid, the tube bundle having an outlet which communicates through an upwardly raising pipe with the interior of the tank and an inlet for introducing a fluid to be heated, so that when the heating fluid is introduced through the inlet of the shell into the shell heat of the heating fluid is transferred through the wall of the shell to the fluid in the interior of the tank and also heats the fluid inside the tube bundle so that the heated fluid from the tube bundle is supplied through the upwardly raising pipe into the interior of the tank, providing a heat transfer between the heating and heated fluid by forced and natural convection simultaneously.

  • Patent number: 6002838
Abstract: A device for storing and discharging a viscous liquid has a unit forming a storage chamber for storing a viscous liquid, a unit forming at least one mixing chamber which communicates with the storage chamber, and a unit for heating the viscous liquid in the mixing chamber so as to reduce viscosity of the liquid in the mixing chamber and permit a withdrawal of the liquid from the mixing chamber, while the liquid in the storage chamber is heated because of the communication of the storage chamber with the mixing chamber and flow from the storage chamber into the mixing chamber.

  • Patent number: 5893411
Abstract: A heat exchanger has a first tube bundle for circulating a first fluid, a second tube bundle for circulating a second fluid, and a shell which accommodates the tube bundles arranged in series in the shell, so that when a third fluid is circulated through the shell it successively contacts the tube bundles for a successive heat exchange between the third fluid and a respective one of the two first-mentioned fluids, to provide a heat transfer between three fluids.

  • Patent number: 5819786
Abstract: A device for storing and discharging a viscous liquid for a tank which is adapted to accommodate a viscous liquid, the device has an outer tubular element adapted to be arranged inside the tank and open into its interior so that the viscous liquid fills a space inside the outer tubular element, an inner tubular element located inside an inner chamber of the outer tubular element and being substantially closed, means for supplying the viscous liquid into the outer tubular element and discharging liquid from the outer tubular element, means for supplying a heating medium into the inner tubular element so that the heating medium inside the inner tubular element gives out heat through a wall of the inner tubular element into the inner chamber of the outer tubular element and therefore to the viscous liquid so as to heat the viscous liquid and to reduce its viscosity, and for discharging the heating medium which has been cooled as a result of giving off the heat, the means for discharging the liquid from the outer

  • Patent number: 5797447
Abstract: A heat recovery system has a heat exchanger provided with a first tube bundle for circulating a first fluid which does not change its phase state and a second tube bundle for circulating a second fluid which changes its phase state, the heat exchanger being also provided with a shell which accommodates the tube bundles arranged in series in the shell, so that when a third fluid is circulated through the shell it successively contacts the tube bundles for a heat transfer between the third fluid and a respective one of the two first-mentioned fluids.
