  • Patent number: 6560443
Abstract: Antenna switching circuitry in a multi-transceiver mobile terminal 10, which features a first switching unit (SW1) which controllably couples a first transceiver port (P1) to either a first antenna port (PA1) or a second antenna port (PA2); and a second switching unit (SW2) which controllably couples the second antenna port (PA2) to either the first transceiver port (P1), through the first switching unit (SW1), or to an input/output port (PI/O) of a second transceiver (12).

  • Patent number: 6437745
Abstract: The present invention relates to an expansion card and an antenna structure for this expansion card for wireless data transmission, which card (C) comprises a card part (1) to be placed inside an expansion card interface of an electronic device, and which antenna part for receiving and transmitting of signals comprises at least one electroconductive, radiating antenna plane (31) and a ground plane (32) arranged parallel to the same, at a distance, as well as a dielectric (33) between said planes. In the invention, for improving the antenna properties, said antenna structure is placed in a housing part (2) which is connected to the end of the card part (1) and which comprises a cover structure (21) and a bottom structure (22), for extending said antenna structure at least partly outside said interface, wherein the antenna plane (32) is arranged on the side of the cover structure (21), the ground plane (32) is arranged on the side of the bottom structure (22), and said dielectric is arranged a free clearance.

  • Publication number: 20020023803
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for controlling release of a hoisting motor brake in a hoisting apparatus, where electricity is used as the driving force and a squirrel cage motor as the hoisting motor for hoisting or lowering a load attached to a hoisting member of the hoisting apparatus. Controlling of brake release comprises measuring the current and supply voltage of the hoisting motor after the start-up period of the hoisting motor and determining a variable which describes the load of the hoisting apparatus from the current and supply voltage. The variable describing the load is compared with a pre-determined limit value and hoisting or lowering of the load is interrupted if the variable describing the hoisting apparatus load exceeds the limit value set for the hoisting movement when the load is hoisted or if it exceeds the limit value set for the lowering movement when the load is lowered.

  • Publication number: 20010040528
Abstract: An antenna structure which comprises at least one active and at least one parasitic antenna conductor and which is arranged to be fitted on top of a planar electroconductive surface at a distance from said surface which is arranged to be used as a ground plane for said antenna structure, and which antenna structure comprises, arranged parallelly at a distance from each other, a first antenna conductor and a second antenna conductor which have an electrical length of approximately ¼ of the wavelength of the used frequency and which are parallel with said ground plane, and which comprise opposite first ends and opposite free second ends, wherein the antenna structure is equipped with symmetrical conductors for short-circuiting the first ends to said ground plane and a first conductor for coupling the supply to a desired point between the first end and a second end of the active antenna conductor.

  • Patent number: 5811945
Abstract: A travel drive for a trolley traveling gear of hoists has a drive train which has the properties of a freewheel as regards the direction of travel. Consequently load oscillation can be rapidly damped out because the speed of the traveling gear is not forcibly held constant during the semioscillation of the load in which it moves ahead of the traveling gear. On the contrary, the swinging load is able to drag the traveling gear behind it, accelerating it in the process, and in this way to convert oscillation energy into driving energy.

  • Patent number: 5751126
Abstract: An electric drive for the vehicle or traveling mechanism of a lifting appliance contains a control which controls the switching on of the mechanical brake and the switching of the motor current off and on again. In this case, there is provision, in the event of a changeover from a high traveling speed to slow maneuvering speed, for the mechanical brake to remain released until the maneuvering speed is approached. During this phase, the vehicle is decelerated solely by the internal friction and the rolling friction on the rail, in order to avoid inducing any or any additional load pendulum oscillation.
