Abstract: A radon collection cartridge and a radon extraction system for economically reducing or removing radon gas danger are disclosed. The cartridge and system can include one or more screens having a plurality of spaced openings. Loosely stacked screens can be secured within a frame to form a cartridge with a labyrinth-like airflow path. At least some of the screens are provided with a surface that collects and retains radon materials. The radon extraction system can include at least one of the above described screens or cartridges. The system may also include a fan assembly having a motor connected to a fan wheel to induce an air flow through the screen(s) or cartridge(s). A controller may be provided that operates the fan assembly motor. The controller can operate the fan motor based on the operational state of a gas burning appliance.

Abstract: A cover arrangement for roof gutters is provided. The cover arrangement includes a plurality of cover segments each of which includes an elongate hinge pin having a mounting plate thereon and pivotal gutter cover segment thereon. Preferred configurations, sizes and overlap patterns for adjacent cover segments are provided. Also an assembly comprising a roof, roof gutter and cover arrangement is provided. Methods of assembly and use are also described.

Abstract: A structure for positioning on a roof to retard snow or ice accumulation thereon is provided. The structure generally comprises an elongate fin arrangement including a central vane. The central vane comprises a material which will absorb solar energy and radiate heat, to inhibit snow buildup around the structure. The elongate fin arrangement optionally comprises an upper vane structure, and a lower cover. A combination comprising a structure as described, and a roof surface, is presented. Methods of assembly and use are also provided.

Abstract: A device is provided for use as a prosthesis in supporting the penis of a wearer, during intercourse. The prosthesis comprises an elongate trough member and an arrangement for maintaining the trough member in operative association over the user's penis, during performance of intercourse. In certain embodiments a retaining strap provided to facilitate retaining of the prosthesis in place.
