  • Publication number: 20030026639
Abstract: A computer data input mechanism includes a computer input data device such as a keyboard or mouse; and an operator wrist support apparatus having a support body formed of two support sacks, each support sack having a connection edge and being interconnected with the connection edge of the other sack, the support sacks having upper surfaces together defining a composite wrist support surface and tapering downwardly toward the connection edges to form a wrist receiving valley defining a carpel tunnel relief channel to reduce pressure on the carpel tunnel area of a user wrist resting on the upper support surface.

  • Publication number: 20030025366
Abstract: A massage chair includes a base frame; a cradle in which a person sits, the cradle being rotatably mounted to the base frame on a cradle bearing structure and pivoting at a cradle axis, the cradle including a vibration generation mechanism mounted within the cradle for producing and delivering vibration into the body of a person seated in the cradle; and a having cradle pivot mechanism connected to the cradle for pivoting the cradle relative to the base frame to a sitting position in which the center of gravity of a person seated in the cradle is substantially over the cradle axis to evenly distribute the weight of a person seated in the cradle over the cradle, and for pivoting the cradle to at least one reclining position.

  • Patent number: 5970987
Abstract: A humidor for retaining and preserving cigars includes a housing having a housing bottom wall and a housing top wall, and at least one housing side wall interconnecting the housing bottom wall and housing top wall, an access structure for opening the housing to admit cigars and for closing the housing to retain humidified air, a humidity generating structure, and a venting structure having elements for retaining several of the cigars within the housing spaced apart from the housing side wall to define at least one air circulation passageway between the cigars and the housing side wall. The humidor additionally includes at least one cigar separation sheet in the form of a sheet of resilient material with at least one sheet air passing vent opening for placing between horizontal layers of the cigars to define air circulation passageways between the cigars constituting each layer of cigars. The housing and vent structure are both preferably made of cedar.

  • Patent number: 5634668
Abstract: An apparatus for delivering categorized information includes a information storage device designed to retain detailed information divided into categories, including a mechanism for accessing the information by category, and a information indexing assembly including a display structure having several display members and having holding structures for the display members connected to the display structure so that the display members are simultaneously displayed. Each display member has a display face with one of the information categories marked on the display face. At least one of the display members functions to direct an observer to one given information category within the information storage device and functions to remain in the possession of an observer as a reminder of the given information category and of the information retrieved about the given information category. The display member is preferably a business card.

  • Patent number: 5179940
Abstract: A method for applying a mechanical massage while the back of a user is against the back rest of a chair or lying on a bed uses a massage mechanism unit having a pair of spaced parallel arm members and a massaging wheel rotatably supported on one end of each of the arm members. The massaging wheels are positioned on the back of the user on opposite sides of the spinal column. The massaging wheels are then simultaneously moved and turned in the same direction from left to right and right to left while moving back and forth along sinusoidal paths on two sides of the spinal column. The pressure exerted by one of the massaging wheels on the back is reduced by moving the massaging wheel away from the back as the massaging wheel moves closer to the spinal column. The pressure exerted by the other massaging wheel is increased by moving the massaging wheel toward the back as the massaging wheel moves away from the spinal column. The massaging wheels thus alternatingly move toward and away from the spinal column.

  • Patent number: 4718408
Abstract: An apparatus for massaging mountable behind the back of a chair and capable of being moved vertically to provide relaxing massage to a user sitting on the chain. A reversible motor mechanism provides the rotational motion to a clutch assembly that selectively engages one of two gear assemblies that in turn activate two different linkage and reciprocating mechanisms that simulate or follow the movements of the fingers of a conventional masseur.
