  • Patent number: 4510345
Abstract: A screen (30) is suitable for screening the electronic circuits (20) of an office machine with a plastic base (13) and hinged cover (14). The screen (30) comprises a thin, flexible insulating layer metallized on its underside and is disposed below the circuits (20). Screening above is provided by the metal mechanical parts (18) which make electrical contact with the metallized layer by pressing onto tabs (35,36) of the screen, bent over resilient pads.

  • Patent number: 4489931
Abstract: Device for automatically positioning a sheet on an office machine platen, including a lower guide element to guide the sheet toward the writing line of the platen and an upper guide element to guide the sheet towards the top. During the introduction of the sheet, an electromagnet is energized to let the lower guide element turn with the platen, accompanying the sheet beyond the writing line. The electromagnet also causes the contemporary separation of the upper guide element from the platen. When the sheet reaches a predetermined position with respect to the writing line, the electromagnet is de-energized and a spring again brings the two elements to the rest position. An automatic introduction mechanism sequentially transfers the sheets from a hopper to the platen and from the platen to a sheet stacker.

  • Patent number: 4195321
Abstract: The apparatus is used for the automatic sequential handling of floppy disks and includes a disk writing and reading unit, a loading stacker and a receiving stacker. A single disk can be inserted in the top part of the unit, whereas a pack of disks is placed in the loading stacker. A plate dividing the loading stacker from the receiving stacker can be moved to bring the bottom part of the unit into communication with the loading stacker and the receiving stacker alternately. The disks are inserted one after another into the bottom part of the unit by a moving slider when the latter is shifted from left to right and the plate is lowered. A feeding tooth detaches the disk at the bottom of the pack and positions it with respect to the slider.During the right-to-left return movement of the slider, the plate is raised and a pair of pincers mounted on the slider withdraws the written or read disk from the bottom part of the unit, and lets it fall into the receiving stacker.

  • Patent number: 4189135
Abstract: An automatic sheet feeder, connected to an automatic writing system, for feeding the fresh sheets to a printing station from a first container after a separation in a separate device. After the printing operation, each printed sheet is sent to a driving roller which, in cooperation with a curved guide, reverses the sheet for piling it in a second container positioned above the first container, so that the printed sheets are piled in the same order of printing and upsidedown.

  • Patent number: 4044230
Abstract: In a perforated tape reader, the tape is sensed by detecting elements rotatable on one end of rocker arms. The other end of the rocker arms is provided with a fork. A flat spring urges on the upper arm of the fork and a conductive resilient element is engaged between the arms of the fork. When the detecting elements sense a perforation on the tape, the conductive element abuts against a fixed electric contact in a intermediate position between the arms of the fork; when the detecting elements sense no perforation the lower arm of the fork lifts the conductive element in order to open the electric contact.Since the space between the arms of the fork is greater than the thickness of the conduction element, but less than the shifting of the fork, any small amplitude movements of the rocker arms in not transmitted to the conductive element.

  • Patent number: 4032055
Abstract: A tape feeding apparatus for perforators or reader of punched tape in which a circular cam continuously rotates in a slot machined in a first lever. A second lever, selectively activated by an electromagnet, enables the first lever to be operated by the cam for jogging a saw tooth wheel integral with a sprocket pulley, feeding the paper.
