  • Patent number: 10225171
Abstract: A method is provided for assigning a time stamp to a specific data packet which, as with a group of received data packets, is received by a cyclically operating sensor. The specific data packet is especially part of the group of received data packets. The disclosed method includes: determining the time of arrival of each data packet of the group of received data packets; assigning a time stamp to each data packet of the group of data packets; determining the time difference between the determined time of arrival and the assigned time stamp for each data packet of the group of data packets; determining the smallest time difference from among the determined time differences; and assigning a time stamp to the specific data packet on the basis of the time of arrival determined for the data packet for which the smallest time difference has been determined.

  • Patent number: 9104322
Abstract: The invention creates a method for enabling a terminal to determine an activated memory configuration of a storage medium that can be operated in the terminal. For this purpose an interruption and subsequent restoration of the contact existing at an interface of the storage medium between the storage medium and the terminal is—at least partly—simulated, wherein upon the simulation of the restoration or interruption of the contact the terminal is caused to determine the activated memory configuration of the storage medium.

  • Patent number: 8950006
Abstract: A method, a memory data carrier (30) as well as a terminal (10) are proposed for accessing a portable memory data carrier (30) having a standardized memory element (34) and an additional module (40). The method permits a data transmission selectively to the memory element (34) or to the additional module (40). According to the method application data intended for the additional module (40) are generated, routing information for the application data, with information about the application data, is generated and added to the application data (108), the resulting data stream is embedded in data blocks according to a transmission protocol adapted to the memory element (34) and transmitted, it is determined by the memory data carrier (30) whether a received data block contains routing information, and the data contained in the data block are routed to the additional module (40) if the data block contains routing information.

  • Patent number: 8009881
Abstract: A method and apparatus is described for recording and digitizing intensity profiles (IP) of the papillary structure of the skin with high intensity resolution using sensors S with low intensity resolution. For this purpose, a plurality of digital image signals (DS, DS1, DS2) of an identical subarea e.g. of a fingerprint are recorded, whereby the continuous intensity domain (KI) of the fingerprint is scanned in different intensity resolutions, and/or different portions (A1, A2) of said continuous intensity domain (KI) are mapped to discrete intensity domains of the single digital image signals (DS, D1, DS2). By the pixelwise combination of all digital image signals (DS, DS1, DS2), a digital fingerprint image signal (PS) is finally produced whose discrete intensity domain (DI) represents a larger portion of the continuous intensity domain (KI) of the fingerprint and/or has a higher resolution intensity than each single one of the digital image signals (DS, DS1, DS2).
