  • Patent number: 11957840
Abstract: A device combining a treatment of ear and sinus conditions along with speech therapy and administration of medication is disclosed. The device comprises a patient facemask, adapted to cover mouth and nose of a patient, and a visual and/or audio feedback mechanism connected to the facemask and adapted to provide feedback through internal air pressure in a device's compartment. The device's compartment is adapted to be in fluid communication with the patient mouth and nose during its operation. The device may comprise a supervisor facemask. Expiration into the facemask(s) increases air pressure. An increase in air pressure within the device activates the feedback mechanism and will lead to effective middle ear and sinus ventilation. The feedback mechanism may also be used in speech therapy for feedback to the patient. Drugs may be administered into the system for treatment of airway disease of for the purpose or general anaesthesia.

  • Publication number: 20130245395
Abstract: The present invention provides an improved pillow and mattress set to be used as a means for reducing snoring and obstructive sleep apnea during sleep by allowing a true prone position of the head. The pillow and mattress set further provides a support for lying with the body in a prone position. The pillow and mattress set comprises a pillow to support the head in a prone position and a mattress to support the body in a prone position, wherein the pillow and mattress are freely adjustable in relation to each other.

  • Publication number: 20130211441
Abstract: A device for obtaining an equalization of a negative pressure in the middle ear is disclosed. The device comprises a facemask, an air pump and an air reservoir, all of them connected to a connecting tube. An increased air pressure is created by expiration into the facemask and/or by activating the air pump. A sufficient rise in air pressure in the device makes the air reservoir to expand, and this creates an increased pressure in the mouth/nose cavity and opens the Eustachian tube and forces air into the middle ear for equalization of the negative pressure in the middle ear.
