  • Patent number: 6374373
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for commissioning a bus system and to a corresponding bus system. A test is carried out preferably after installation of the bus system and before it is actually put into operation to check whether the system is functioning properly. The test can comprise several stages which each test different functional aspects of the bus system. The bus system test can be carried out especially from a distributor or gateway (1) which couples several voltage supply lines (2-4), designed to carry information in addition to a supply voltage, with a central voltage supply line (L, N).

  • Patent number: 6290189
Abstract: In a point-operating device for pressing one tongue (28) against a stock rail (3) and for simultaneous pull-off of another tongue (29) from an opposite stock rail (4), the operability is improved when between the stock rails/tongues of a point, a moving device, which is formed with at least four adjustable vertical spring assemblies (8, 9, 12, 13), is arranged.

  • Patent number: 6118231
Abstract: In order to control the luminosity in a room (1) lighted with several light sources (2a . . . , 3a . . . ) or several groups of light sources, a system is used with which the ratio between the light intensities of the individual light sources or groups of light sources can be adjusted or modified, and with which the total luminosity in the room (1) can be adjusted or modified while the ratio between the light intensities of the individual light sources or groups of light sources is kept constant. In particular for this purpose, a control device (7) is integrated in the system and connected to all operating devices (4a . . . , 5a . . . ) of the various light sources (2a . . . , 3a . . . ) to control the power consumption of the individual light sources (2a . . . , 3a . . . ).

  • Patent number: 5628454
Abstract: A sole, ribbed or slide chair plate for a foot of a railroad rail provided with two spaced flat bearing surfaces between which is a concave surface allowing for non tipping of the rail when in place if the bottom of the rail has a convex surface and a shim fitting on top of the plate having a top surface composed of two spaced flat bearing surfaces between which is a concave surface.

  • Patent number: 5562267
Abstract: A box sleeper (1), characterized by a steel box-like sleeper section member (5) which has a cross-sectional width (15) and a cross-sectional height (16) matching that of a normal concrete or wooden sleeper and has an open part (31) on top and is closable at its ends by transverse plates (17 and 18) and has laterally projecting bearing flanges (13 and 14) for stockrail fasteners (28, 29), points-tongue slide chairs (30) and/or operating components of tip fasteners. The box-like sleeper section member (5) is associated with tip fasteners in the form of "latch fasteners" (33) comprising stationary guides (32) and movable latches (34), cam rods (34) and cam-rod bearings (37), all of which project into the upper part (31) of the box-like sleeper section member (5), whereas the bottom part houses the points-tongue slide rods (54), the tongue-monitoring linkage (45), heating rods (43) if any, and shock-absorbing elements (38).

  • Patent number: 4921168
Abstract: A support plate, particularly a ribbed plate for fastening rails of railroad tracks and track switches on wooden sleepers. The support plate is connected in the vicinity of its ends, in each instance, with the wooden sleeper by means of screws or the like which engage in the through-holes, whereas the rail flange is supported in each instance in the area of the plate between the fastening points on the sleeper side. On the underside of the plate, shoulders are provided or constructed only in the area of the through-holes for the fastening screws, which shoulders project out of the plane of the plate and have a thickness of approximately 1 mm to 2 mm. As a result of the cooperation between the shoulders and the fastening screws, the support plate has a convex curvature, so that its underside comes in supporting contact with the upper surface of the wooden sleeper.

  • Patent number: 4770343
Abstract: A resilient rail fixing device for track installations with good torsional resistance and positive lateral hold for the rail has a design whih ensures the straightforward production of the clamp clips (3) and the secure co-operation of the clamp clips (3) with the anchoring parts (1,2). The clamp clip (3) is produced as a flexible moulding of cold-bendable steel and has four resilient rod sections (31', 34' and 31", 34") as abutment legs (3' and 3"). Each bracing part (26', 26") of the clamp clip (3) is shaped integrally onto two independent resilient rod secions (31' and 34' or 31' and 34") which have been stressed to torsion. Two inner resilient rod sections (31' and 31") are produced integrally with a transverse connecting piece (33), while the two outer resilient rod sections (34' and 34") are supportd by U-Shaped deflections (35' and 35") on the top of the transverse connecting piece (33).

  • Patent number: 4728031
Abstract: Apparatus for fastening rails on ties of a railroad comprising four rail screws for flushly mounting an abutment face of a bedplate against the upper surface of the tie and a pre-stressed, elastically deformable bedplate having a convex curved abutment face for frictionally engaging the upper surface of the tie and for applying a spring force against the rail screws when the rail screws are used to brace the curved abutment face flush against the tie.

  • Patent number: 3986667
Abstract: A stock rail fastening for switches of railway track installations in which a slide chair and spring U-clip fix one flange of a stock rail to a baseplate, and a clamp fixes the other flange of the stock rail to the baseplate. The slide chair has one side overhanging the one flange and is spaced apart from the base plate to provide a recess therebetween. The spring U-clip is within the recess under bending tension and has a loop portion bearing against the one flange, and a pair of arms extending from the loop portion and having spaced apart ends supported on notches at another side of the slide chair. The entirety of the U-clip is polygonal in cross section, the arms between the loop portion and the ends have a portion which is square in cross section, and the arms each have a side face parallel to a horizontal plane when the U-clip is tension free.
