  • Patent number: 11156561
Abstract: A device for analysing a product to be analysed which is located in a product space having a probe body arranged in a probe housing and having a peripheral wall, and at least one radiation source and at least one optical receiver. At least one measurement window in the probe body has an entry region and an exit region for measurement radiation. An evaluation unit is also provided. The probe body can be brought into a measurement position, in which at least one part of the probe body in which the measurement window is located penetrates through an opening of the probe housing into the product space for the analysis. In addition, the probe body can be brought into a retracted position, in which the probe body is still located at least partially in the region of the opening of the probe housing and thus covers the opening.

  • Publication number: 20040075167
Abstract: The invention relates to devices for providing a thermoelectric element which is, depending on the design, in particular suited for small powers and relatively high voltages and has the features of performance of conventional thermal generators, and which can be at the same time manufactured at low costs, and it is suggested to connect at least two electrically coupled semiconductor components or one semiconductor component and one metal film on at least one insulating substrate, the substrate being a flexible foil element, a process for the manufacture of such a thermoelectric element is also suggested.

  • Publication number: 20040069948
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the analysis of the qualitative and/or quantitative composition of fluids with at least one light source, one interaction space area in which the light interacts with the fluid, and one detection device for detecting the interaction between the fluid and the light. The device and the method are characterised in that a photonic the gap structure is provided creating a greater reduced group velocity in the interaction space area and thus an increased dwell time for the light in the interaction space area. This means that the interaction space area can be considerably reduced in size, which allows a compact design of the device.

  • Patent number: 6584335
Abstract: Analysis device for determining an analyte in vivo in the body of a patient, having a measuring probe with a hollow needle (18) which can pierce through the skin. Light is passed through the hollow needle (18) and into the body via an optical fiber (22) travelling in the hollow needle (18). The light transported in the optical fiber (22) is modified in the measuring probe (3), the modification being characteristic of the presence of the analyte. A measurement and evaluation unit (4) measures the change to extract information concerning the presence of the analyte in the body.

  • Patent number: 6366546
Abstract: An output device digitally stores data on a data carrier. The output device includes a reading unit, a data converter unit, and an output unit, provided with data reconstruction elements. Data to be reproduced can be processed by control data components contained in a start block. The control data components can be stored in a control data storage unit connected to the data reconstruction elements by way of a start block detector unit. This enables fast reproduction of large amounts of data, particularly digitized audio data.
