  • Publication number: 20220193389
Abstract: The invention relates to a clamping device for clamping a flexible tube having a bearing element with a bearing surface and a clamping element with a clamping surface. The clamping element moves between an obturation position and a closed position. In the obturation position the flexible tube is placed is along the bearing surface and the clamping surface is obstructed. In the closed position the bearing surface and the clamping surface are in contact, and a control unit is configured to actuate the clamping element from the open position towards the closed position until it is blocked. The device detects the position of the blocked clamping element and determines the presence or absence of a flexible tube according to the position of the detected clamping element.

  • Publication number: 20220167890
Abstract: The inventive apparatus is a device for collecting a target volume of blood in a collecting bag connected to a collection needle with a flexible tube. The device has a plate for the collecting bag and a clamping device for clamping the flexible tube. The device also has a bearing element having a bearing surface, and a clamping element with a clamping surface. The clamping element is able to move between an open position in which the flexible tube positioned between the bearing and clamping surfaces is not deformed and a closed position in which the flexible tube positioned between the bearing and clamping surfaces is closed off. The device also has a control unit configured to determine the volume of blood collected and move the clamping element from the open position to an intermediate position, when the determined volume of blood collected reaches a predetermined volume.

  • Patent number: 9320817
Abstract: The invention relates to an irradiation apparatus for inactivating pathogens and/or leukocytes in a biological fluid such as a platelet suspension and/or plasma comprising: a casing (2), a support member (3) for carrying at least one irradiation bag (19) containing the biological fluid, a light source (4) comprising two banks of light (5, 6) disposed above and below the support member (3), and an agitating system (25) for moving the support member (3), the light source generating UVC light of suitable intensity to inactivate pathogens and/or leukocytes and the agitation system moving the support member in an orbital path with predetermined amplitude and rotational frequency suitable to expose the whole biological fluid to UVC.

  • Patent number: 9192756
Abstract: The invention relates to a device intended to break at least one closure element located inside a flexible tube, said closure element having a first part and a second part, said parts being separated by a weakening zone, it being possible to break said weakening zone in order to enable fluid to flow inside said flexible tube, said device comprising an assembly for holding said flexible tube, said assembly comprising a fixed element provided with a first housing intended to hold a first portion of said flexible tube, and a mobile element provided with a second housing intended to hold a second portion of said flexible tube, the two housings being aligned along a center line defining a neutral position of the mobile element, said device comprising a member for moving the mobile element to either side of its neutral position so as to be able to break the weakening zone of the closure element.

  • Publication number: 20120264210
Abstract: A method for expanding and/or preserving cells inside a culture vessel containing a culture medium provides for the renewal of the culture medium by a culture medium stream, at least a portion of which comes from a culture medium volume contained in a gas-enrichment vessel of the culture medium, the enrichment-vessel further containing a gas volume which is separated from the culture medium volume by a free interface, the gas volume being renewed by a gas stream that is introduced into the enrichment vessel directly into the gas volume, the flow of the stream being arranged so as to enable a gas exchange between the culture medium volume and the gas volume at the interface thereof.
