  • Publication number: 20210179045
Abstract: A method for controlling a brake system of a vehicle comprises detecting a failure of a sensor for at least one of the vehicle wheels, checking whether a brake control function is being executed at the time of the failure, continuing the brake control function if a brake control function is being executed and deactivating the brake control function when execution of the brake control function has been completed. If no brake control function is being executed at the time of the failure then executing the brake control function if a brake control function is initiated within a defined period of time after the failure, and deactivating the brake control function after execution of the brake control function has been completed and the period of time has expired or if no brake control function has been initiated within the defined period of time.

  • Patent number: 10315634
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for adapting a control strategy of a slip-control system of a brake system of a vehicle in a ?-split situation, in which different wheel-specific brake pressures, are set at opposite wheels of a vehicle axle. The resulting brake pressure difference is limited. In some examples, to generate a brake pressure request, a maximum pressure difference value deviating from a reference pressure difference with a predefined tolerance value is determined on a wheel-specific basis for the wheels lying opposite one another. The reference pressure difference corresponds to the value of the current low-pass-filtered brake pressure difference, and the brake pressure request for each wheel is determined as a minimum of the wheel-specific brake pressure determined from the control strategy of the slip-control system, and from the sum of the average brake pressure of the wheel lying opposite and the wheel-specific maximum pressure difference value.

  • Patent number: 9903308
Abstract: A method for detecting and correcting vehicle reference speed, in particular when the speed undergoes a controlled reduction due to drag or regeneration torque, of an all-wheel drive vehicle. The longitudinal acceleration of the motor vehicle, and the wheel accelerations are determined by sensors. The method is to provide reliable determination of the vehicle reference speed and the initiation of corrective measures once a controlled reduction has been recognized. The steps include filtering the wheel accelerations, filtering the longitudinal accelerations, forming a corrected longitudinal acceleration by applying a safety offset and a correction offset to the filtered longitudinal acceleration, and temporal integration of the difference between the corrected longitudinal acceleration and the respective wheel acceleration.
