  • Patent number: 10407037
Abstract: A pneumatic brake system (110) for a commercial vehicle (1) has one spring brake (27), a protection valve (56), a parking brake unit (30), a network of pipelines (40), at least a first (4) and a second (5) tank with compressed air and a relay valve (19) for the parking brake unit (30). A first subnetwork of pipelines (40a) comprises pipelines configured to be pressurized at all times. A second subnetwork of pipelines (40b) comprises at least one pipeline configured to be non-pressurized when the parking brake function is applied. The first subnetwork (40a) comprises pipelines establishing fluid communication between the tanks (4, 5) and the parking brake unit (30), wherein the direction of air flow in these pipelines is by at least one thereto associated valve (50). A method for managing an air flow to an air-actuated spring brake (27) of a pneumatic brake system (110) is disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20100280479
Abstract: An absorbent article, comprising a substantially fluid impervious backsheet, a substantially fluid permeable topsheet, an acquisition layer for collecting and distributing fluid, a top core for absorbing fluid, a bottom core for absorbing fluid, elastic members. The acquisition layer, the top core and the bottom core are arranged between the topsheet and the backsheet. The acquisition layer is arranged between the topsheet and the top core, and the bottom core is arranged between the backsheet and the top core. The absorbent article extends along a longitudinal axis from its front end towards its rear end. It has longitudinal side edges extending along the longitudinal axis. The elastic members are arranged adjacent to at least a portion of each longitudinal side edge and each elastic member has a tension in a direction along the longitudinal side edge.

  • Publication number: 20070219523
Abstract: According to the invention it is disclosed an absorbent pad (1) comprising a liquid-impervious back sheet (2), a plurality of bodies (3) of liquid-absorbent material disposed on one surface of the back sheet (2), and a liquid-pervious cover sheet (4) covering said bodies (3) of absorbent material and secured to the back sheet (2) along channels (7) which separate said bodies (3) of absorbent material. The channels (7) progresses in a channel-pattern in which three channels (7), meeting in a joint, form respective edges (6) of said whole bodies (3) and said channels (7) being substantially free from absorbent material. A method for the manufacturing of such absorbent pad (1) is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20060178650
Abstract: An absorbent article is disclosed which includes a substantially impervious back sheet, a substantially fluid permeable top sheet, an absorbent core region between the top sheet and back sheet. The absorbent core region includes a first absorbent core and a second absorbent core. The second absorbent core has a longitudinal extent which is 50 to 70% of the longitudinal extent of the first absorbent core and covers 40 to 60% of the face of the first absorbent core, and at least 30% of the face and the length of the second absorbent core extend over the longitudinal mid of said first absorbent core.

  • Patent number: 6432242
Abstract: A method for applying elastic, preferably thread elastic, to a travelling web (1) of material in a direction that is generally perpendicular to the feed direction (20) of the web (1). An applicator (9) is moveable generally perpendicular to the web (1) and includes a thread guide (6) which is moveable between two outer positions, the thread guide (6) being adapted to apply elastic (5a-b) to the web (1). The thread guide (6) delivers the elastic (5a-b) to a stopper (16) as it passes the stopper (16) while moving to its outer position and the thread guide (6) again picks up the elastic (5a-b) as it passes the stopper on the way to the other position.
