    Abstract: There is provided a system of an individual section machine (IS) having a blow side with a mold and a blow head, and a blank side, the system includes a P-Switch valve in fluid communication with an EPVB of the IS machine and with the P-Switch valve configured to control a valve pilot air supply to a predetermined pilot valve. When the P-Switch valve is activated, the blow side mold is set to an OPEN position and the associated blow head is set to an UP position. With the P-Switch valve of the system activated, the blow side machinery cannot be overridden from the blank side of the IS machine.

    Abstract: A pneumatic machine control unit for an I.S. machine having at least one machine section for processing a gob of molten glass into a selected bottle. The section is supplied by a plurality of pneumatic lines at different pressures. A pneumatic supply input line supplies a manifold which is connected to a plurality of output lines. An electronically settable pressure regulating device is situated in each output line and a control is provided for setting the electronically settable pressure regulating devices either in response to operator inputs or from retrieved pressures from a database.

The plunger base module includes a permanent plunger distribution base having a top surface and a plurality of sets of service conduits, each set including plunger up, plunger down, and counterblow/vacuum or cooling. Each plunger distribution base service conduit has an outlet port communicating with the top surface. A removable transition plate has a bottom surface for engaging the top surface of the plunger distribution base and a top surface.

Each section has a section frame having a top surface, and a plunger mechanism including at least one plunger canister having a lower cylinder and an upper flange. A horizontal mounting plate having a top surface and vertical openings for receiving the lower cylinder of each of the plunger canisters is fixedly secured on the top surface of the section frame. The section frame top surface has vertical openings for receiving the lower cylinders of each of the plunger canisters and the flange of the plunger mechanism is secured to the top surface of the mounting plate.

At least one outlet port of the plurality of service air conduits in the plunger distribution plate which are to be connected to the plunger canister service air conduits being axially offset from the corresponding inlet port of the plunger canister. A transition plate intermediate the plunger canister and the plunger distribution plate having a bottom surface for engaging the top surface of the plunger distribution plate and a top surface.
