Abstract: There is provided a compound of formula (1) and pharmaceutically-acceptable derivatives (including prodrugs) thereof. Which compound and derivatives are useful as, or are as useful as prodrugs of, competitive inhibitors of trypsin-like proteases, such as thrombin, and thus in particular, in the treatment of conditions where inhibition of thrombin is required (e.g. thrombosis) or as anticoagulants.

Abstract: A press felt is devised for use in a papermaking machine, and a method is provided for manufacturing such a press felt. The press felt comprises a base fabric which is made of fabric of yarn material and is endless in the machine direction of the press felt, and one or more layers of fiber material arranged on the base fabric. The base fabric of the press felt comprises at least one layer composed of a spirally-wound strip made of fabric of yarn material and having a width which is smaller than the width of the final base fabric. Longitudinal threads of the spirally-wound fabric strip of yarn material make an angle with the machine direction of the press felt. The fabric strip of yarn material may advantageously be flat-woven.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for removing impurities from plant fibrous material which constitutes residual products in the refining of tuber or root vegetables, fruits etc. The plant fibrous material is, for forming a first substance, adjusted to a TS content of at least approx. 25% whereafter the first substance is fractionated in a first screening device to form a first fraction. The TS content of the first fraction is reduced, for the formation of a first mass, whereafter the mass is dried, for the formation of a second substance. This is fractionated in a second screening device to form a second fraction which substantially exclusively consists of plant fibres.

Abstract: A bicycle chair for children has a mounting for fixing the chair on the bicycle, and a frame which is to abut against the luggage carrier of the bicycle and supports a rack, for a seat and the back support. The mounting is fixedly mounted on the bicycle in a position immediately ahead of the luggage carrier and the frame also forms a locking device for releasable locking of the frame on the mounting.
