  • Patent number: 6046661
Abstract: A device (11a; 11b) for switching an electrical circuit has a contact element (15a; 15b) which closes or opens the circuit between a first and a second terminal (13a, 14a; 13b, 14b). One end of the contact element (15a; 15b) is connected to the first terminal in a conducting fashion (13a; 13b). The second free end of the contact element (15a; 15b) closes the circuit in a first end position and opens the circuit in a second end position. A switchable magnetic field, preferably one whose polarity can be changed, moves, by means of an actuator device, the contact element (15a; 15b) into one of its two end positions. The activating device comprises a toggle lever (23a; 23b) to move the free end of the contact element (15a; 15b) into at least one of its two end positions. The device allows the holding power and/or the seating pressure of the free end of the contact element to be increased in its closed end position.

  • Patent number: 4705922
Abstract: A relay for the operation of a belt tightener or tensioner for automobile safety belts in the event of a collision with an obstacle. The relay consists of a conduit or dry-reed contact arrangement which is arranged in a housing with its longitudinal axis aligned perpendicular to the direction of travel and vertical to the horiztonal plane of the automobile, and an annular magnet surrounding the contact arrangement which is retained perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the conduit of the contact arrangement by springs, equidistant from the contact arrangement at rest, and movable mainly horizontally.

  • Patent number: 4623863
Abstract: The polarized, electromagnetic relay includes a magnet frame, relative to conduit rabbets, with angles-off yoke arrangement, which includes two separated, parallel-arranged yokes, as well as a permanent magnet that lies therebetween and between anchor plates. The two yokes are L-shaped and formed exactly identical, whereby their core shanks stretch over the entire length of the exciter coil, and lie next to each other in the region of the exciter coil. Thereby a mechanically and electrically absolutely symmetrical magnet frame results, whose asymmetry is compensated by losses arising from the air gap. Through the use of individual yokes there ensues a simple assembly in the spring jack, which functions as holding element for all of the parts.
