  • Patent number: 6904804
Abstract: A device for acceleration measurement, in which measuring signals from a two-dimensional sensor from measuring different directions are combined (gated) with one another and then jointly evaluated in an evaluation circuit. This evaluation is carried out, for example, using a threshold-value discriminator, in order to perform a plausibility check for a crash detection.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 9, 2002
Date of Patent: June 14, 2005
    Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbH
    Inventor: Arno Schaumann

  • Patent number: 6522257
Abstract: A very reliable device, which can be implemented at a low cost, has a switch mechanism arranged on a fastening device which is installed on a vehicle seat and can engage with a plug element on a child seat; The switch mechanism has a stationary part attached to the fastening, device and a movable part, which is moved by the plug element into the stationary part on mutual engagement of the plug element with the fastenings device, thereby activating a switch so that occupancy of the vehicle seat by a child seat is signaled.

  • Publication number: 20020175851
Abstract: A protective device for a person, specifically for a person participating a sport, having at least one sensor device for detecting obstacles in the vicinity of the person to be protected; an evaluation device having a microcontroller for a situation evaluation with respect to the surroundings of the person to be protected; a triggering device for activating a protective application; and a protective application, which can be integrated in the equipment of the person to be protected.

  • Patent number: 6487482
Abstract: A method and a device for deploying a restraint system, which avoids false deployments at the least possible expense by using an acceleration sensor arrangement that includes two sensitivity axes oriented in different directions. An acceleration measured with respect to one of the two sensitivity axes is used for a plausibility check of a deployment decision, which is determined from an acceleration measured with respect to the other sensitivity axis. A trigger signal is only generated if a deployment decision signal and a plausibility signal are present at the inputs of an AND logic circuit at the same time.
