  • Publication number: 20120265371
Abstract: A system for controlling construction site vehicles has a plurality of construction site vehicles and a control room. Data can be transmitted on communication channels between the control room and the construction site vehicles. In the control room, at least one digital map is stored in which at least one additional piece of information is stored for individual road sections, in addition to the route of the respective road section. A navigation module is provided and designed to generate, with reference to the at least one digital map, navigation recommendations for the construction site vehicles.

  • Publication number: 20120263531
Abstract: In a system for laying down an asphalt layer made of asphalt material, and having a road paver having a screed with compacting tools, a compacting device and a mixer, an electronic material density module is provided in or for the road paver. The electronic material density module obtains data during the laying process regarding at least the actual degree of compaction of the asphalt layer produced in the area of at least one compacting tool and evaluates and/or documents these data at least for operational optimisation and/or operational monitoring of the road paver and/or compacting device and/or mixer. The data obtained is communicated to the compacting device that produces the final degree of compaction of the asphalt layer based on the data and on the actual degree of compaction determined at the screed.

  • Publication number: 20120010787
Abstract: The invention relates to a construction machine, in particular a road finishing machine, which can be set to at least two different operating modes by the operator. With a control system, a determined position for a drive can be stored in a first operating mode to which the drive automatically moves during a change from a second operating mode back to the first operating mode. In case of a change of the operating mode from the second operating mode to the first operating mode, several drives can optionally also be simultaneously moved to the previously stored position.

  • Patent number: 7725113
Abstract: A reference station produces correction signals for a differential position-finding device. The station utilizes a position-finding signal receiver for reception of signals from satellites in a position-finding system and an electronic processor, which is connected by a transmission unit to a radio antenna. The electronic processor is designed to receive position signals from the position-finding signal receiver and to derive correction data from these position signals. The correction data can be modulated by the transmission unit onto a radio frequency signal and can be transmitted via the radio antenna. The processor is connected to an inertial sensor to calculate any position change of the reference station, and to produce an error signal when the calculated magnitude of the position change exceeds a predetermined threshold value.

  • Patent number: 6941208
Abstract: A method of monitoring equipment of an agricultural machine includes taking a process computer and connecting the same to at least one sensor measuring an operational characteristic of the agricultural machine. The process computer evaluates the data received from the sensor and checks whether they indicate a fault of the agricultural machine. In this case, the data may be below and/or above a predetermined threshold. When such as fault or error occurs, the process computer submits a fault message to a remote station using a communications interface. The fault message contains a fault information identifying a type of the fault.

  • Patent number: 6437582
Abstract: A device for the measurement of the moisture of harvested crop including a measurement capacitor (52) with two spaced electrodes (78, 80, 82), between which harvested crop can be introduced. The capacitor (52) is connected to an inductance (104) of a resonance circuit (106). For improved precision, it is proposed that the resonance circuit (106) be supplied with a measurement signal in the form of an alternating voltage with variable frequency and that a parameter of the resonance circuit (106), preferably resonant frequency dependent upon the capacitance of the capacitor (52), be detected at various frequencies and used for the determination of the moisture.
