  • Patent number: 9427912
Abstract: The invention relates to an ultrasonic welding apparatus for ultrasonic machining of a material, having at least two sonotrodes and a converter device, which converts an electrical AC voltage into an ultrasonic vibration and sets the at least two sonotrodes in ultrasonic vibration, the at least two sonotrodes being arranged in such a manner that the material to be machined is arranged between them during machining and can at the same time be machined by the at least two sonotrodes. To specify an ultrasonic welding apparatus that allows effective material machining without an undesirable interaction occurring between the two sonotrodes, the converter device according to the invention excites the first sonotrode at a frequency fs1 and the second sonotrode at a frequency fs2, fs2 being greater than fs1.

  • Patent number: 7868518
Abstract: A device for processing workpieces uses ultrasound, with an resonant system comprising an ultrasound generator, an ultrasound sonotrode, and an anvil, wherein a workpiece is processed between the anvil and the ultrasound sonotrode. The ultrasound generator comprises a regulation means which has a regulation member connected upstream of the ultrasound generator to receive a feedback signal from the resonant system and to generate a regulation variable which is supplied to the ultrasound generator. A connecting point is provided between the regulation member and the ultrasound generator, at which the regulation variable of the regulation member is linked to a process variable from the processing procedure.

  • Patent number: 6029770
Abstract: A sound damping element contains an inner wall and an outer wall, between which a cavity filled with absorption material is present, which are joined to one another. At longitudinal edges of the element, bent-away profile portions are disposed so that a junction with a similarly configured adjacent sound damping element can be made. The sound damping element is to be improved such that, with low production and material cost, a seal for preventing gas from passing through the element is achieved. Easy manipulation in assembly is possible, and the individual sound damping elements can be joined together without problems and, if necessary, separated from one another. At least one profile portion has a section such that at least a portion of a chamber is formed. At least in the portion of this chamber, a sealing element is disposed. Sealing is accomplished by this sealing element with respect to the adjacent second sound damping element.
