An access component can provide a complementary access of first content of a network to a device without a per-access fee to a user account associated with the device. A monitor component can receive, from the device, a request for an alternate access of second content of the network that is different from the first content. The access component, based on a characteristic associated with the network determined to satisfy a defined condition with respect to the alternate access, can send an offer directed to the device for purchase of the alternate access with the per-access fee to the user account.

Abstract: Channels are created and broadcasted to devices utilizing a platform. Disclosed is a system that can comprise: a customization component that facilitates creation of a channel comprising video content, a brand, a graphic identity, and at least one feature of the channel, wherein the channel is represented by a channel card displayable from a channel store storing channels representing channel cards; a management component that facilitates management of operations of the channel comprising a channel broadcast operation, a channel editing operation, and a channel consumption operation; a reporting component that collects channel financial information comprising payment information for payment from a first party to a second party, or billing information for billing the first party; and an analytical component that generates channel analytics information regarding the consumption of the channel or a behavior of an identity associated with the consumption of the channel.

By way of example, network resources can be correlated with real-time network conditions, and monitoring of the network conditions can be employed to track availability of subsets of network resources. Where a subset of network resources allocated to support a particular application is available, the subset of resources can be allocated to one or more client devices, on demand. Where insufficient resource availability exists, resources can be freed up from other subsets of network resources to bolster availability of requested resources to support an application, or a demand for resources can be rejected. Billing for network resources can be in part or in total based on resources consumed, among other dynamic factors, in addition to or in lieu of static factors.

Abstract: Disclosed are electronic systems and techniques for implementing lists that include source of origin information for items added to the lists. A portal can include a component that enables items to be added to lists associated with the portal from a variety of sources, such as social networks, other portals, advertisements, search engines, other users, etc. In this regard, the items can be added to a list with references to the portal, instead of the source of origin, and information relating to the source of origin can be maintained to assist users in future prioritizations of items included in the list.

Abstract: Described herein are systems, methods, and articles of manufacture that facilitate creation, editing, and sharing of video quotes. A video quote can be created based on user input. For example, the video quote can be created based on a time range selected by a user. The video quote can also include comments from the user. In order to create the video quote, the user can be authenticated and/or permissions of the user related to viewing, editing and/or sharing of the video can be verified. If permissions are verified, the user can edit the content of the video quote, for example, by changing the time range and/or including different comments. The video quote can be shared, for example, on a social network and/or via e-mail.

A plurality of data objects representative of a plurality of items for user consumption from an online merchant are stored at a computing device. Abstract: Disclosed are shared shopping systems and techniques based on social graph information and spanning multiple merchant providers. A device can include a component for implementing a shopping portal and include an access security module. Social graph information for use in connection with any of the embodiments described herein can come from internal sources or external sources. In this regard, the object information respecting items selected by users represented by a given user social graph can be stored in storage. The access security module can be configured to categorize the object information according to a set of predetermined criteria and allow access to the object information by others represented in a social graph for the user that have received authorization to access the object information.
